Called NVC today to inquire about if I'm suppose to receive an official notice or some type to proceed with interview scheduling (since that was my understanding).

Per our convo, I wouldn't be receiving any notice from NVC as they have sent the case to embassy. Thought it takes about 4-5 days for embassy to receive the case but as of today (day 7) I haven't received confirmation of receipt.

I know folks here advised that I don't necessary need to wait for the official notice (email/packet3) as long I have the case number (which I do) then I can schedule an appointment but in my experience it varies depending on embassies. Getting our NOA2 was great but waiting for the green light to schedule an interview is just as nerve wrecking.

Happy Tuesday

If you know the date they sent it to the embassy you could try tracking it through DHL. See here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/302190-dhl-tracking-from-nvc-to-us-embassy/

Provided info was very useful. Thank you very much!

I "guestimated" the dates and it shows that it was signed and received on 3/6. Assuming it takes about 5-7 days to process it I'm hoping to receive an official notice from embassy this week.

Thanks again!

See this post to guess possible case numbers http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/295046-nvc-case-number/?p=4469915

After that I just tried them until one was valid. This is only really useful for small countries, I think.

Hiya January Filers!

I sent in the I-129F on January 9th (overnight express), and then my NOA 1 was sent on January 13th via text, and arrived in the mail on January 14th. Now to wait for the NOA 2! According to VJ, the time frame expires in just a few days....on March 13th, it will be exactly TWO MONTHS since we applied for a K-1. My fiancee and I are getting kinda depressed, because we see many who are February filers getting their NOA 1 and NOA 2 already.....while we still wait for the NOA 2. Ours is being processed at Texas, but it seems that many of the files Texas is approving so far is all from the Phillipines sad.png

We are planning a wedding in May, and I really REALLY hope we don't have to wait until the winter for his visa in hand. sad.png

Don't give up hope. Each case is different so the approval varies...

Having said that, planning a wedding for May is cutting it close...

I wouldn't be planning a May wedding maybe a July. Don't be depressed its a 6 month avg from beg to end. Its not too bad. But I don't blame you for hoping. I hope my fiance will be here in May also.. that would be greatdancin5hr.gif

Are you a data fanatic too?! I check all of the stats, trends, timelines from TSC, timelines from my country and all timelines who filed around the same time as me!!!!

Fiancé thinks I am driving myself nuts by obsessivley checking hahaha rofl.gif (I am though ClockWatch2.gif )

Guilty as charged. ;) I'm trying to tone it down a bit 'cause, like you said, I'm driving myself nuts. :P

The WORST part is when you do the math, check all the data, and your current wait for a step in the process is 300% of the average, and you're on the cusp of exceeding the MAX value in the list.

LOL, Chris, we seriously need to get you into a program at DJA (Data Junkie Anonymous) soon. wink.png

Take it this way, though we do all the math, there are many variables that come into play that cannot be represented cardinally or taken into the equation we have formulated or some that we just don't know about.

Data can give us answer, yes, but only if we have all population data and not just the sample data that is here on VJ.com, which will always give us biased answers. smile.png

Hope this helps you deal with being "on the cusp of exceeding the MAX value in the list". Stay strong brother. Almost there.

I am here, still waiting for NOA2. ClockWatch2.gif Just telling myself, it's going to be here soon...SOON! hahaha biggrin.png

"We are all mad here." - Lewis Carroll ;)

I'm guilty of this! I did a timeline query of everyone who has received NOA2 since January 1st, added all their "NVC delays" into a spreadsheet, and computed the average, (4.29 days). Noted the high (14 days), and the low (1 day!), and use that to attempt to calm my nerves. (Today is day 12 for us).

I feel like I might need a 12 step program if they don't release it soon.

Looks like my Visa left NVC, it's currently "in transit"

Though I have a question: It states that "your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center." Is this a generic message? I was under the impression the Tokyo Embassy would let me schedule an interview myself, rather than have one provided. I haven't got the required documents yet, still needing the Japanese police certificate.

HI, I would like to ask-- how did you know that the consulate has received your application? I checked online, and its still in -" In Transit "

Thanks
