Yes, I understand that I will be notified. My question was HOW will I be notified?

It will mailed to your home address. The hardcopy notification (i think i told you already?)

But if you want to get the case number easier, you can call NVC but have to wait for such a long time (around 20 min)

Sorry, I didn't understand earlier.

Yes, I'll be calling them frequently to see if they have my info. The last I spoke with yesterday talked DOWN to me like I was an idiot, or a child. I hope to not get her again.

Still have this to contend with...

Harsh that it's the people doing it legally who suffer.

The CEAC website now shows that it is in transit: Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

Not quite sure what we can do now since I havent gotten anything in the mail.

After receiving NOA2 within 30 days, I felt the need to give back to the VJ community as I would have been lost without their step-by-step guidance on all inquiries. (Plz feel free to ask any specific questions and I'll try to be clear and detailed as possible)

Thank you VJ and wish the best to all. I'll continue to post updates.

Timeline:

1/17/2014 - Packet submitted (Texas office)

1/21/2014 - Receipt confirmed (NOA 1 text)

1/28/2014 - NOA 1 confirmed (Hard copy)

2/13/2014 - Petition approved (confirmed via USCIS website)

2/18/2014 - NOA 2 confirmed (Hard copy - letter stating my petition has been approved sent to NVC and that further instruction will follow along with a case number within 30 days)

Waiting...

*FYI, my fiancee resides in S. Korea.

Don't be sad, now you have all of us to help :-) And the guides, example forms, etc.

Many people have said that the delay is not that significant. When you get the hard copy read it carefully and, if you have any doubts, ask in the forums. It'll still get approved and hopefully only a little bit later!

I think I am more upset at myself than sad but at least I got an update It was really hard being in suspense especially after I found out through forums that I had missed some crucial evidence to submit. So to confirm I should have sent copies of my passport with the visas of the countries I visited him in right?... I don't know how that is any more evidence than the itineraries I sent. It would only prove i visited the country not that i met him. geesh

I didn't include that as evidence of relationship. I don't think it's that at all (although obviously I could be wrong!) Maybe it's something entirely different: maybe you missed a question (it's easy to miss something in form I139F) or a signature or one of the letters of intent or who knows!

I know waiting is really hard; we all understand you! I'm sure most of us have felt that frustration at some point or another of the process. Or through the whole process! tongue.png Hang in there!

I think it has to be the original. He can mail it to you while you wait for the hard copy. It can't hurt to have it! If it's not that it's not a big deal, you'd have wasted a paper, some ink and a stamp and envelope!

You said you didn't include one letter of intent. If anything, it's that over copies of your passport stamps. :)
