Has anyone gotten notice that the state department has their information? So far I have that it has been sent but when I called they hadn't received the my packet yet.

We got our NOA1 on January 13th. Still awaiting our NOA2. I'm hoping our application is straightforward, but I do worry we've missed something and that's why it hasn't flown through.

I know I have absolutely no right to expect something positive soon, but I really hope we hear something positive back.

It would be awesome to get our NOA2 very soon. (I know I'm stating the obvious statement of 100% of the people here in the same position as us)

Congrats to everyone else who has already got to the next stage.

If you've followed the checklist from this site then it should be fine. They should've sent a RFE if there is something important that was missed. Every case is different hence the difference in processing time.

We're still waiting for our NOA2 also. Just have to keep our spirit up and keep on checking the case status :)

OK, I need to ask a question. I got the NOA2 notice on the website, I haven't gotten the letter in the mail yet, but I'm wondering. How do I know when the CSC has shipped my case off to the NVC? I assume there's some sort of notification. Does that come through the USCIS site? Someplace else?

Thanks!

There will be notification that they will sent to NVC but some people do call NVC to get the case number faster.my fiance called them twice in last 2 weeks and got our number yesterday. He called about 20 minutes waiting each call.good luck :)

OK, does that notification come through the USCIS website? Via e-mail? Carrier pigeon? devil.gif

And I had my first call to the NVC today, and as you said, sat on hold for 20 minutes, for them to tell me "No, we don't have it yet. Once you get your letter, it'll take 8 weeks". The same thing that they tell everyone else.

EDIT: I think I found my own answer. I signed up on the USCIS website for notifications. I'm assuming the "NVC sent" notification comes through that. If that is incorrect, someone please "drop some info on me".

Thanks!

I called 603-334-0700 and got my new case number for Manila. They received my packet yesterday. I think it takes another week or two to move on to Manila.

Does anyone know if there is a separate January 2014 TSC filers topic? If not, it may make sense to start one -- it's confusing to see all the CSC filers getting NOA2 and hard to keep track of what's going on with applications being processed at TSC.
