Hi,

It's been 18 days since the NVC completed my case but no interview has been scheduled yet at Frankfurt embassy. What's happening here? Is there anything ti hinder the process? Some of the people got their interview 2-3 days after completion.

By the way, does the status change after they schedule an appointment? It currently is "At NVC".

Thanks,

Best regards,

After the interview is scheduled, they send the case file to the embassy. AT that time the CEAC status will change to show it's in transit and then ready at the embassy. Check the interview thread to see how far out the interviews have been scheduled. Also if you're doing an F2A not a CR1 or IR1 then you may have to wait longer.

@everwaiting_sam - did you get your interview date already? Just curious...I've been waiting 22 days now.

Not yet @iyordanov. Go F2A filers waiting for CASE COMPLETION from NVC and check PermanentR's post. He keeps track of cases waiting for interview letter. You would get an average time for that.

Any idea if the NVC scheduled all interviews in order they completed the cases, or it's different schedule depending on the type of visa?

Of course it's different depending on the visa category. IR1 or CR's get their interview letter super fast even a few hours after completion email. I'm not sure about your visa type but the more priority it has the faster you get the letter.

Well, while this does make sense, EB1 is one of the hardest green cards to get. It's for Extraordinary Skills and Abilities. So it does sound like it should have quite a lot of priority over other types of visas/green cards, but then again, it's been 22 days now, since Case Complete and I've still got nothing.

Chris & Trinh mentioned a good point up there. If you have checked the post I mentioned previously, you would have seen that most of the interview letter have been issued at the end of each month with a few exceptions. So hopefully we will get it by the end of January but the interview will be most likely on March.

Yeah I noticed that...it's really weird because the official story you hear from the NVC is that they book interviews during the first two weeks of the month. Which has been proven false by the users @VisaJourney...

The whole thing is a complete mystery :) All we can do is to wait and hope that the waiting won't be so much longer.

I had a few contacts with NVC regarding this but the only thing they insisted on saying was that "There is no time frame to schedule an interview" which basically means it can take from few days to months. But based on the VisaJourney's users we should get it in 2 weeks.

But yeah, waiting sucks. "Times you hate it, Always seems to last"

By the way, I did call the NVC last Friday just a few hours before they closed...so I asked the lady from NVC whether they were still scheduling interviews for February and she said (quite confidently) that as far as she knows, they are... so maybe there is still hope for February, who knows... I am thinking that their regular schedule was messed up because of 5 unusual non-working days:

* christmas

* 1st jan

* 2 days due to bad weather

* president's day (yesterday)

So perhaps things this month are just running late...
