Over one month and have not received NOA1

Title says it all, been over a month and no NOA1.

I sent my I-129F packet certified on November 26th, 2013 to the P.O. box in Dallas. I got my receipt from the US Postal Service that it was received on December 7th. My bank statements show that they cashed my check on December 12th. I included the e-notification form, but I still have not received anything from USCIS.

I know this isn't exactly normal, but what is the deal?

I appreciate any help you guys could give me.

I don't know what's going on at Dallas, but nothing seems to be happening there the last couple of weeks. Hopefully they'll start processing things soon, but right now nothing seems to be going out.

I know it is so frustrating waiting for the "milestones" I'm sorry! I would honestly just put it down to the holidays. Maybe give them another week or two and then I'd worry.

Oh good, maybe that means they'll start forwarding approved cases on soon.

They cashed the check, so it was received and started on its initial inspections/sorting. Seems there are delays with sending out the NOA1 receipts.

Here is my timeline...

Dec 13, 2013 - Sent I-129F to Dallas center

Dec 16, 2013 - USPS confirmed delivery

Dec 19, 2013 - Got NOA1 email and text message from USCIS

Dec 24, 2013 - Alien Registration Number was assigned

Dec 31, 2013 - Got hardcopy NOA1 in mail

It's bit strange that you haven't received any notification or mail for NOA1 yet

because based on many others that I've been watching on VJ site,

they all seem to get something between 3 to 14 days.

But the fact that they cashed the check is a good indication that petition arrived safely

and it was in their processing hands at some point.

Did you try calling them? (not knowing whether its a possible thing to do).

If you can call and get connected, ask for the the SRCxxxxxxxxxx receipt number,

so that you can track the status here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Hopefully not, but I am wondering if they are going to send you an RFE (Request for Evidence)

if they skip the NOA1...but that doesn't seem to make sense...so this is probably not it.

My guess is you are past the NOA1 stage...but notificaition/mail just didn't show up for some reason.

Mind is waiting NVC to issue my case number,next week on 15 Jan is gonna be 2 months !!!!

It was over a month (almost two months) before we got our NOA1. Delayed as it may be, it do comes eventually.
