My boyfriend keeps saying he wants to troll VJ as a man who wants to bring over his 15 year old honey from (unspecified country*), but is wondering if adopting her would just be easier than waiting 3 years until he can do a K1. I tell him NO! DO NOT TROLL SACRED VISAJOURNEY but part of me wants to see it go down.

Where's the +1,000 button? Actually, I don't know of too many gringo-Latina marriages in which the husband is as much as 20 years older -- approaching that gap, sometimes, but usually more like a 10 to 15 years' difference.

In regard to the opening post, Mrs. T-B. reported this news to me and was quite anguished -- about the loss of one of her novela (Spanish-language soap opera) actresses, yes, but even more about the little daughter who is orphaned and wounded and probably saw her parents killed before her own eyes. There truly aren't words.

I've seen it split between the PI, Thailand, and Russian countries. One of our officers in Japan married a woman from Thailand. Saw them in the commissary shopping, I thought it was his daughter until I saw her with the newborn and the ring on her finger. To each it's own I guess.

I think I told NB the story. We almost didn't get together because I straight thought she was 25 at the most. My friends and I met her when she was getting off work. We took a picture(I'll attach it so you can see how she looked 3 years ago, scary) and exchanged information. I thought, she's way too young for me. I was 36 at the time. My shipmate Edward came to me about 4 days after we left and said, hey you still talking to that one girl with the long hair? I said yes, through email. He was like, she's nice, I would like to talk to her and see where it goes, he said see if's she's single. I said no problem. I wrote her and asked. She said not interested because she thought we were all too young for her! I said hold up, how old are you? She said I'm 38. My jaw dropped. Told Edward(who's 23) sorry buddy, this one is mine:)
