So, Mrs Srvman is going to re-write, and get notarized the letter of intent extension.

Would the following suffice? I got this from the visajourney site, but I just wanted to make sure that all this is still relevant and necessary to include, and we are not missing anything.

Many Thanks,

Chris

RE: (name and vital data of your fiancé, including I-797 approval notice number, date of birth, address, phone number)

Dear Honorable American Consulate of London:

It is my understanding that pursuant to 9FAM 41.81 N3.1 (Period of validity), the consulate can extend the approval notice, if my fiancé and I remain legally free to marry and continue to plan to marry after my fiancé enters the United States.

Therefore, please be aware:

  • I and my fiancé continue to be legally single and free to marry.
  • I and my fiancé love each other and plan to marry after his/her entrance in to the United States.
  • If my I-797 approval notice has expired by the time of my fiancé’s interview,

I sincerely request that you extend the approval notice (copy attached) so that my fiancé, (name of fiancé) may receive the K-1 visa.

Sincerely,

(Notarized Signature)

Much fancier than needed in my opinion, but sure.

It could be as simple as--

London England

I, Mary Jane Smith, do hereby state that I am legally able and willing to marry John Srvman, and intend to do so within 90 days of his arrival into the US using the K-1 visa.

And I dont need to write another intent letter myself, as I suppose my presence at the interview would be intent enough.

Well with the old forms, the DS-156k had a statement saying pretty much the same intent and was signed in front of the officer. He signed as a witness.

I suppose since you will be there, if they want you to sign something they will hand it to you.
