Sorry to hear you got a rfe. On a positive side of things it is best to know what it is than to have someone sitting on it for months with no touch. I hope it is something minor that can be fixed quickly.

Let us know what it is when you get the hard copy.

So your saying that it's possible it's been picked up but not updated on USPS website. As of now it is still showing waiting for pick up. sad.png:(sad.png

well, nothing is easy when it comes to immigration. i am trying not to think what it might be until i see the letter (impossible, eh?).

i will certainly let you know, but the more i think about it, the less i understand. we've been married for 10 years, lived in europe all the time, then my husband (American citizen) got a job offer (and a pending offer for me once my papers are ready), what else is there to add? my kids are both american-polish (dual citizenship), i have no clue what else might be missing:/

we moved our life here in august, bought a house from join savings (maybe they need docs that i contributed, ehm... paid the downpayment by transferring money from my account abroad to us??)

have no clue what is missing. i am a bit bitter about it at this point, but i am sure i will feel better soon....

YES, i never got a confirmation from usps, while uscis sent me an e-mail. so do not worry, your papers are probably there already.

June 2013 - I-130 sent from overseas

January 2014 - applied for AOS/AP/EAD

March 2014 EAD/AP and I-130 approved

May 2014 - AOS approved

Wow I see what you mean. Your right what else do they need from you after 10 years of marriage.

I prefer to think that they just like to make life difficult for foreigners with the delay tactics.

I hope it is something relatively silly 9- times out of 10 it is always the case.

Hi destiny

Can you tell me what address you filed yours and was it express mail signed for at the Chicago lock box ? I filed mine around the same time and the USPS website says it arrived 27th but no one has picked it up yet. Just wondering if you have had the same problem if you sent yours to the same PO box.

Thanks

So glad to hear we are both in the same boat. I think either it's a problem with USPS website updating the system or the bad weather has prevented uscis from picking up the mail.

Please keep me updated if yours changes and I will surely do the same. I hope it changes tomorrow.

Hi what address did you use?

we use PO BOX address..until today no update..we posted a case through their customer service already. today we are thinking of sending another set using FEDEX this time but what if it was delivered already just no update? We are confused. Customer service told my husband it might be rerouted to different address or back to us. But with this weather condition we doubt any time soon. My husband did not arrived home until 1:30 this morning and he left work at 4pm yesterday. Roads are crazy, cars all over. Accident all over.

No government work!

Thanks for reply

wait at least till the 4th or even the 5th .

It wont help if they have 2 applications on their desk, and if you did put USCIS and Chicago on the envelepoe, then it should really make it!

Maybe there was a little typo on the address and they just corrected it.

We got our hardcopy for NOA1x 3 yesterday. No sign of Biom appt or (possible) RFE.

Online still says 'acceptance' for AOS and 'initial review' for EAD and AP.

P.S I sent a copy of my marriage cert...not an original.. woops :(

Hi there, I am sure that it has to be a glitch in the system and that USCIS has your paperwork already....try not to worry, it will all work out. I know, easier said than done right?.....I am already neurotic about the whole thing but it makes more sense to me that someone at USPS hasn't pressed a button on their hand helding signey thing, than a government department not picking up their daily mail smile.png

Hi housam.. Unfortunately there is absolutely no way to tell how long this process is going to take. The timelines on the EAD/AP's seem to be fairly reliable between 2-3 month waits, however the GC - it really is anyone's guess and from what I have read thus far is that could take anywhere up to 12 months....cray5ol.gif

After researching here on VJ and the USCIS for my local office processing times, it appears that I am looking at a minimum wait time of 7 months. Perhaps you could check (if you haven't already of course!) your local office processing times to give you a ball park timeline? That's my best answer, sorry.

All the best and have a great day!

I'm getting so anxious for the work permit. It's going to be so nice to finally have 2 incomes. Still no word from USCIS. With the K1, it seemed we always got notifications at night or on the weekend. Maybe we will hear something in the next week.

I am hearing you there. Two incomes = awesomeness...kicking.gif (and more shoes..ha ha)

I also looking forward to meeting new people. My hubby gets ear blasted when he comes home everyday because I haven't spoken to a soul all day long. Once this son-of-a-polar vortex eases off I will be able to walk out and about and stalk the local folks at the library to give him a break....

Have an excellent day!
