R&I, thought you'd like to know I started a Chicago local office topic over in the Adjustment from work etc progress reports forum. I really thought I'd have a date by now - been almost three months. Any news on your end?

Hey - thats a good idea. I'll post there too. Nothing as far as AOS - about 6 months ago, Chicago numbers were a lot lower than they are now as far as how long between application and interview - its increased by more than 50 days. Because I remember getting excited that in 3-4 months this would all be done. I did send a message to our congressman/woman - who knows if that does anything, but I felt better for a minute. Thank goodness for the EAD, atleast the hubby is working.

Day 1:[01/16/2014] I-130, I-485, I-765 delivered to Chicago

Day 5:[01/20/2014] NOA1 confirmation texts + emails

Day 8:[01/23/2014] NOA1 hard copies in the mail

Day 14:[01/29/2014] Biometrics Appointment letter in Mail for 02/11/14

Day 22:[02/07/2014] Early Walk-in - Denied. Didn't know about early walk-in til now

Day 27:[02/11/2014] Biometrics Done

Day 36:[02/20/2014] I-485 Status changed to "Testing and Interview"

Day 69:[03/26/2014] EAD Approved. Status Online Changed to "Card/ Document Production"

Day 171: [7/10/14] Got Notice of Interview Scheduled for 8/12/14

Day 202: (8/12/14] Interview Completed in Chicago downtown Office

Day 202: (8/12/14] Got Approved Notice and GC is in Production

Hello everyone here is my update. On April 28 we received the interview waiver letter. Mixed emotions as we knew we would have to wait a bit longer for the green card but not have to do an interview. On May 9 we got a letter saying our AOS interview was scheduled for 6 June in El Paso Tx. Now we are really excited and getting our documents together to prove the marriage is real. Good luck to all and wishing everyone on here a rapid journey.

Hi Eliasitoy

Not really normal, but no reason to panic or stress. I received my initial email notifying me they sent my EAD, then 24 hrs later, another email stating the tracking information (which I could only read on the CEAC site for some reason).

I suggest (if you haven't already of course) to manually check the CEAC website for an update in the first instance. If no tracking info there, call USCIS (speak to tier 2) on Monday to see of they can provide an update for you.

Highly unlikely it has been lost in the mail....likely scenarios are they haven't either sent it yet or they have and you just didn't get the tracking info.

Hopefully you'll get your answers soon. It will all work out in the end, as it has done for most people :)

Take care

Not to worry - we had got an update that the EAD was approved and will be sent to the adress on file. We never got a tracking number, which usually they update on the site within 1-2 days. But we got our EAD in about 7 days after that and even to this day, the status still says that the EAD will be mailed - so don't worry too much. If you don't get it by the end of this week, I'd call USCIS. But for now, just hang in there. It should be in the mail any day now. Keep us posted just as an FYI

Hello All,

Not many people remember me - I haven't posted since April 14, our interview date.

I think I posted that the interview went well, but I didn't get the decision on the spot, b/c there was something missing from the packet. It turned out that uscis never sent my approved I-130 (submitted separately earlier) to the local office. It might have been our mistake that we didn't notify anyone there about the letter of approval, we just assumed that such information is shared within the same institution. Anyway, pairing the two petitions postponed the decision by 3 weeks, so I got my GC my GC in the third week of May.

I hope yours have arrived too and if they haven't, I'll keep my fingers crossed for all January filers!

June 2013 - I-130 sent from overseas

January 2014 - applied for AOS/AP/EAD

March 2014 EAD/AP and I-130 approved

May 2014 - AOS approved

Hey Topoftherock!

So nice to hear from you! I hope you have been keeping well? Sorry to hear you are still waiting for that GC....fingers crossed you hear soon my friend.. :)

I started a new job this week, I am so grateful and thankful. It will definitely assist with all that goal setting I have been doing in my spare time over the last 6 months...he he

It has to be said that with each passing day, I am not only falling more in love with my Hubby, but the USA also. I have experienced so much warmth and kindness from all I have met since I arrived here last year, and it isn't just from peeps either...Mother Nature has been generous with Spring too...!

So my Hubby, Mother Nature, and the USA are on the honor roll. That's my report card....lol lol

Will love to read yours when you have time..

Take care, stay safe.

cjc :)
