Congrats CJC so glad your card is in production. No more sitting at home and baking out to work with you lol. Don't worry your bank will love you and your hips will thank you lol.

Let us know when it arrives.

Thanks Nurseling, you are so right about the hips liking a break from baking on two counts and the bank account looking better....lol....got to get that drivers license too, but not long now...thankfully.

I am hoping you get your EAD soon too, it can't be far away at all. I really thought you would have had it by now, very frustrating to be sure...I shall argh for you..:)

It is hard to believe that it is April tomorrow too isn't it? Even though the waiting has been difficult, the time has really flown in many ways and a lot has happened, though I still don't like the chocolate here...lol

Hope you hear soon matey...have an awesome week..:)

Update; applied jan 7. Received RFE jan 27. Received biometric appt literally 2 weeks ago. It's for April 2nd. Like after 80 plus days. Really!!? Anyways, I only recently replied to RFE this week. So my case is now back on track. CONGRATS to all who got the GC!!!!! And ead &ap too!! :) keep us in your prayers please. Lol. I'm am playing in makeup all day and "drankin" wine. I am so not stressing or getting obcessed with USCIS website anymore. I have decided when they are ready for me they will let me know. Lol

congrats cjc!!!!! Happy to see that they are working on our documents!!

Thanks mate!....All the best with everything moving quickly for you now that you have sorted your rfe. Yay on your biometrics tomorrow too :)

I am hearing you on the stressing. What I have learned through this whole process is that worrying about it doesn't change a thing. I still hope for the best but it doesn't consume me any more.....it is nice being chillaxed...lol

Have a good week!

Just received the one sheet of paper for expedite asking me to provide them with a job offer letter well that might take a while cos I got to do a drug test as part of the job process lol. First time I ever heard of this being a job requirement . Only in america lol. Am sure they won't find nothing hard on me just the previous addiction to chocolate maybe I should confess already. Tell them I am a recovering chocoholic.

They also need to do a background check to make sure I am not a psychopath on a disguising my self as a registered nurse . Hmm can't pull the wool over these employers eyes. I wonder if they would want to check if my teeth are fake lol. I may already have cameras watching my house. Maybe they are working with uscis lol. We'll talk about a long winded process or what!! Oh well almost there now .

I am beginning to think by the time the expedite comes through I would be within normal processing time frame anyway it is 64 day since noa1 is that not around the normal processing time anyway?

Maybe I should sit on the paper till Friday and see if anything moves.if was to described this journey I would say its like being constipated and back logged with no movement and in order to move things along you have to get the laxatives out ( expedite) just to get some relief lol. Wow what a lot of ####### we have all been through lol.

Holy cow, you are being put through the mill in getting work!!!!!!! ...ha ha ha on the fact they'll find chocolate in your system....you are crazy like that...lol

You know, while it has been a looooooooooong road, I have enjoyed not working and spending my days doing what I feel like (very lucky me), I have caught up on 40 years worth of sleep, and just had the opportunity to stop...something that I have never had the chance to do until now. I love being a housewife and taking care of my man, so I am sort of sad that is all coming to an end......it might be different if I had kids though..... and didn't have a Kitchen Aid...lol

Anyhoo, there is a strong chance your EAD is just around the corner due to the timing, so hard for you to know what to do there. The timeline given by VJ was 100% accurate in my situation, so maybe that is your best gauge?...

Not long now...the finish line for this leg of the race is in sight.....the patients of your intended workplace need you to sparkle up their day and they'll be so lucky to have you....you might make them pop their stitches though, so for the love of all things sacred, go easy on them....lol

Great news Skyview!! Unfortunately it is hard to say when you will get a date exactly. They could let you know in the next 24 hours or you could be waiting many weeks - these scenarios have happened to the January folk.

I suggest looking at your local office processing times for an indicative time frame however this isn't set in stone. My local office was set to be interviewing people around September, yet I have an appointment next week. Shrugs...

Hope you hear soon though!!

Hey JBForever..thank you and I am sure you will hear something soon re your own EAD, the time is ripe for all January filers...it only a matter of days really...nearly there matey...:)

how long do you have to wait for your GC if you receive a waiver letter. is it longer than with an interview??

Research indicates that the vast majority of those with an interview receive their GC's before those whose interviews are waived. As far as I can recall one January filer already has their GC and they have been for an interview....testing and interview stage indicates an interview will be conducted, scheduling of that interview is another thing altogether.

I have seen on other forums where folks have received their GC's in a matter of weeks from their interview waiver letters, others have been waiting over six months. Each case is different and it all seems a bit random....pain hey..

thanks for making me feel better CJC:)... love the down under accent mate:)

as for your query Skyview, most of those i have heard of get their GC faster if w/ an interview. those that get their interviews waived take longer for some reason...go figure:(

but again, different strokes for diff folks...:)

No wukkas JB...lol....I had been holding back on my Aussieness since I got here, but I can't help it any longer, I need to be myself and not hide my inner bogan....lol

Whilst the wait on our processing has been challenging, it has been a great comfort sharing the journey with folks like yourself, it is good not feeling so alone hey..:). Thank you google because you helped me find VJ and my VJ friends..lol

Hey CJC

Thanks for the encouragement.

I a so sorry you can't stay home with your kitchen aide no more. I do however suggest getting pregnant as a solution to your dilemma lol that way your hubby won't miss you the kitchen aide continues to be your best friend and you have little rug rats to feed your home baked goods perfect solution lol. I would do the same if I had not already done my part for queen and country and Obama lol. well after populating England with one and America with another I think my part is done. Plus my war wounds from the ordeal is unforgettable lol.

But you coup just go work lol that's a better solution a fat bank account lol.

Yes promise not to kill my patients laughing. It's funny cos I will be working on a heart failure cardiac unit there sure will be a arrest every day once I open my mouth lol.

Decided best to mail it to them. Got the job offer letter today so going to post the info tomorrow.

No wukkas JB...lol....I had been holding back on my Aussieness since I got here, but I can't help it any longer, I need to be myself and not hide my inner bogan....lol

Whilst the wait on our processing has been challenging, it has been a great comfort sharing the journey with folks like yourself, it is good not feeling so alone hey.. :). Thank you google because you helped me find VJ and my VJ friends..lol

true that CJC:)

no kidding, this was the worst journey for me what with having to wait 1 yr and 6 mos for my K1 visa and now, for my AOS/GC (good thing my daughter's EAD/AP card got approved in 75 days) .....but with friends in VJ like you, it makes it all the more bearable....

and never hold back on who you are, we are beautiful in our own unique way...no need to be anybody else:) we were petitioned by our significant others for a reason....and they found that with us, no one else over here...so be proud:)
