Thanks CJC. Have you had any updates about your case? Nothing will excite me more than seeing an interview notice even though I am not trying to keep my hopes in that regards too high considering there are other December Portland filers who haven't received the interview notice too. Makes me wonder if the USCIS guys there are working at all lol. Hopefully by 04/20/2014 I should receive the interview notice. I don't really mind even having my interview in May or June as long as I just know when I will have it.

Hiya MaleAlpha. No, no updates on my case, but with my interview in two weeks the whole thing seems mute and it looks like that I would receive my GC either before or at the same time as my EAD - which I didn't really expect to occur. I am still baffled that I got an interview so quickly given the backlog stated (by USCIS themselves) at my local office and it seems nothing is really out of the question - so you just never do know and you might get that interview notice sooner than you think and I wish this for you.

We all might need to have a virtual party when it comes to pass...lol Thanks for always being so supportive also :)

Heya again Nurseling...the quote thingi went all wonky and its too hard to go back and fix it....so I'll just say good luck on the expedite :)

I hope things happen faster for you and indeed all of us. Happy 'Rome-ing' too...lol

Thanks anmasean! The officer informed us that he will call us as soon as their database has updated. So, there is a possibility of getting it before 10 days. I have no choice but to wait... This waiting game is really testing my patience. By the way, my interview is going to be tomorrow and I am having a flu... huhuhuhuhu :crying::rolleyes:

Good luck on your interview Me-Myself-and-I, this is really exciting for you.....hope you are feeling better soon too. :)

Just found this thread so wanted to say hi to everyone and post our stats to date!

We just got the text today that EAD and AP have been approved, we filed January 15th! I was checking the USCIS site religiously for the last week knowing our time was approaching. Got busy at work the last 2 days and haven't had a chance to check and just like they say once you stop looking for something....

Hi BabyFaceFiancee. Congratulations on your news :)...Yes a watched kettle never boils.....lol

Hello everyone, I woke up this morning to this notice

Testing and Interview

Your I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS is now ready for interview scheduling. When scheduling is complete, you will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

I am very excited as it seems as if some of us January filers are moving along quickly. I am also confused because I just received my EAD yesterday and it seems USCIS have no set system as to their processing.

Hi Anmasean.....congratulations, how lovely to wake up to this for you. Fantastic news on getting your EAD already too. It seems like January filers all have four leaf clovers in their yards! :)

Filed AOS, Jan 3 receipt date. I hope they speed up the process soon!

Hi jenny8. The process is picking up pace for many people here so it shouldn't be too much longer for you to hear good news. Hang in there and all the best :)

Hi R&Ijourney

I called the customer services number and they went through a set of questions and asked me which one meets my situation. I took the option of hardship and loss of earnings due to being in financial hardship e.g not being able to pay bills and eat I had to look for jobs and now I have many job offers I need to work. She wrote it all down that way then repeated it back to me then said you will hear from us within 5 days either by email or post.

Do you have job offers too and need to expedite?

Thanks for the info. So you don't have to submit any paperwork or proof of financial hardship? I would love to try and expedite but at this point, I could hear something any day about the EAD. Or it could take another week or two. Will just keep my fingers crossed for it to come through this week. Good luck with your request.

Day 1:[01/16/2014] I-130, I-485, I-765 delivered to Chicago

Day 5:[01/20/2014] NOA1 confirmation texts + emails

Day 8:[01/23/2014] NOA1 hard copies in the mail

Day 14:[01/29/2014] Biometrics Appointment letter in Mail for 02/11/14

Day 22:[02/07/2014] Early Walk-in - Denied. Didn't know about early walk-in til now

Day 27:[02/11/2014] Biometrics Done

Day 36:[02/20/2014] I-485 Status changed to "Testing and Interview"

Day 69:[03/26/2014] EAD Approved. Status Online Changed to "Card/ Document Production"

Day 171: [7/10/14] Got Notice of Interview Scheduled for 8/12/14

Hi. Still haven't heard anything from USCIS regarding the EAD? Since we have the same timeline I believe yours will be adjudicated any day from now. Hopefully you get the approval notice today or tomorrow. I got the tracking number on mine and it's scheduled to be delivered here tomorrow. It just got to my home state Oregon.

EAD was approved today .. How long before I receive the card in the mail?

It takes on average between 5-10 days. If mine can be a good indicator, I got the card production notice on mine on 03/19/2014. It was mailed on 03/25/2014 and by the tracking number I was given, it will get here tomorrow. I can actually see that it just got to my home state of Oregon recently.

i'm so happy for both of you:) congrats!

i got my EAD/AP approval. Took 74 days had a RFE. However, I'm happy and I can get my SSN and my DL….yeah..

does anybody know when the I 485 changes?!

Glad to hear you got your EAD approved! Yay!

I have an RFE too and just got off the phone with uscis that told me that they'd decide on the EAD application within 75 days.

as for the I485, you'd probably hear something soon enough. mine changed to Testing & interview but still havent gotten a notice in the mail on when it would be...

as long as you have the EAD, that is all that matters right now...the GC will follow shortly. it just takes a bit longer than EAD is all... I am glad to note that some people are actually getting theirs almost at the same time if not closely following each other....

For now, just be glad! I am happy for you:)

Hello everyone,

How long did it take for you guys to get the EAD/AP combo card from the date of biometrics?

My original biometrics was on 2/14... through snowstorm on V-day....... somehow FBI couldn't recognize my finger prints (????) so I had to go get it done again on 3/11..... through another messy snowy weather.... ughhhhh wasted almost a month because of this! =(

Apparently, my interview is set for April 30 but there's no news on my EAD/AP.... is it possible to interview first before I get the card????

If so, what was the point of applying for EAD/AP for me????? I wanted to start working and traveling ASAP.... =(

Hey coolime,

there is certainly the possibility that the GC Interview is before you getting the EAD, I am living proof of that. See it like this: You didn't pay extra for the EAD/AP, thus once you got the Green Card, you're good to go.
