Just had the "Welcome to the USA" letter in the mail. The Green Card is scheduled to be delivered on Thursday. I can't wait to finally start doing all the fun stuff. Getting a SSN, a driver's license and credit history. :D Oh yeah, I hope I can land that job that I interviewed for last Thursday, that'd be great to get out of the house and do something.

Keep up the good spirits guys, I hope you all will receive your EADs this week!

Just got my Green Card in the mail today. YAY! Thank you guys for being so awesome and informative during the whole process. I'll stick around a bit more for sure.

4/10/2014 ( 75 days) status changed after calling uscis regarding urgency of EAD. Also usps tracking number at 20.580pm

Hey guys been a while been busy unpacking and decided to stop turning down job interviews. Anyway went for 3 job interviews yesterday one as a charge nurse supervisor an two in cardiac heart failure and well I got all 3 job offers the hr was even asking if I would be interested in going for the assistant nurse manager role lol. Anyway so I have decided to take one of these jobs as money doesn't grow on trees here and well me and the roaches from our last place we were going to move in may be room mates if I don't get working lol. So today is the day where I get the horse whip out for uscis and call to expedite my EAD. Was thinking to really lay it on thick and tell them we have no money for food and water lol. Hopefully my cry of poverty and destitute will get me my EAD in a week or two so I can get working. Ain't it funny How none of us cares about when they interview us most of us are chasing the work permit and the Ap lol.

Happy oft you male alpha CJC and JBForever wursbrot and everyone else who has had a movement on their case.

I will let you guys know what they say when I call them today.

Everyone else waiting get a Krispy cream doughnut it may be bad for you but you will feel better in your hour of frustration lol. I bought a new treadmill lol with my jobless self haha so am running my frustration off. Boy is Gillian Michael kicking my butt on that treadmill boy can that woman scream on the ifit. Yesterday I ran in Rome what a view w that was the best I was going to get impressive city. Thank you my ifit treadmill for allowing me to see Rome with no AP lol. Shhhhh don't tell uscis they may not expedite for me lol.:)

Nurseling!!! Well what a lovely surprise to see your post this morning...albeit ridiculously early for you! It is good to hear how you have been getting on and of your popularity on the work front. I am sorry that you are still waiting on your EAD/AP but any day now I am guessing. Definitely put the wind up USCIS's whatsee to get it sooner....oh how I would like to be a fly on the wall when you make that call....lol

Glad to hear that you have virtually been to Rome on the tready, you always bring a smile to my face with the way you see the world.

Same here. Most likely they have a lot of cards they are printing out and haven't been able to mail them out yet. I am still estimating the receipt date to be somewhere this coming Friday or Saturday latest.

Hey MaleAlpha.....really great news about the card but it sure would be nice to see it in your mail box. Fingers crossed it will be here for you by the end of the week...along with your interview notice :)

Ok so just expedited my EAD I was told I will hear within 5 days and a decision is based on the person handling my case. Now I got to get human resources to issue me a employment letter. Will see what happens.

Am thinking I have a painful wait for that to happen to me. I got the atlanta lot interviewing lol. They have a almost 8 months backlog so I don't think mine will turn up till the end of the year. Mean while hope to be working while waiting. I hope they accept my expedite.

Hearing positive things with everyone else here though which is so good.

Hi everyone, I've been reading some of your posts, and I'm so happy for all of you who've got your EAD! Congrats!

I, on the other hand, am still waiting... and it's getting frustrating. I see people who've filed before me who already got their EAD and it's starting to worry me.

USCIS got my AOS package on 01/17, my biometrics appointment was on 02/13 and my interview is coming up 04/08.. but my status is still in "initial review".

I'm tired of waiting :cry:

we filed all 3 -1 in December. got rfe in January saying the fee we paid was not sufficient (but it was) we mailed back the proof, they admitted their mistake. then got another rfe saying our marriage license was not sufficient (but it was) we mailed back another same copy with explaination to read the bottom of license to see that it was signed and legitimate marriage..now they have approved only the EAD to work but still have AP pending.........My wife needs to travel back to VN very soon. anyone have any experience with her traveling without the AP (travel)? I'm thinking of mailing it to her....I am aware of the stipulation of her "giving up the process" thing...but do they even know she hasn't recieved if she leaves first?

This should make you feel better - my husband's AOS/EA got filed 1/16 and had his Bio done 2/11 - and we haven't received EAD nor an Interview Date. Atleast you have that :-)

Finally received my EAD card yesterday.. Just wondering, when can you apply for an SSN? I tried applying today and it needs to be verified on the SSN database. Siiiigh!

I don't think you should worry much as I have observed that people who already have interview appointment dates are the last to get EAD approved I guess its because if successful they wont need a EAD anyway You will be fine in a few days CHIN UP!!!

Hey Guys!

Finally received my EAD card yesterday.. Just wondering, when can you apply for an SSN? I tried applying today and it needs to be verified on the SSN database. Siiiigh!

I had the same experience with SSA and was unable to renew my drivers license too they say now the need a SSN to renew all because the government left hand have no clue what its right hand is doing.
