So I missed the question earlier but yeah once I received the email, I went online and it had also updated on the Case Status page. This was EAD only, the other two hadn't moved as of around 11 this morning...... then as of about 10 minutes ago I received an email saying my AP had been approved. Checked on the site and whereas the EAD is on Card Production the AP is only on Post Decision Activity, does anyone know if this is the normal process??

As I thought it was a combi card I assumed they would be produced together......

Anyways everyone still waiting, it really looks like that us guys who has a mid Jan filing date are starting to hear news now, hang in there!!!!

We got several emails, one saying EAD has been approved and is in production, and 2 others saying the address has been changed regarding the AOS and Travel doc....what's up with that? We didnt change address... The AOS has been sitting in acceptance since they received it, now it's in initial review but says address has been changed. Kinda confused....I dont think those are being handled by the same place so why would they update like that at the same time?

Edit: Travel doc was just approved too, but AOS still says address changed..

It felt like they happened at the same time, I got the email and was in front of my computer and immediately checked on the Case Status page, I'm presuming when they change the site it forces out the email....

I think they AP and EAD are produced in different departments/offices and the 'Post decision activity' just means they are sending to to the same place as the EAD to produce the combi card..... I HOPE!!

If all goes well this card will arrive sometime late next week....

So, here's my experience in San Francisco for the interview:

We arrived a solid hour ahead of our appointment and just waited for things to move. After around 45 minutes we were greeted and escorted by a friendly officer.

After doing the oath, we just talked about very few basics, like I was to say the full name of my husband and his birthday and he did have to do the same. We were asked about when and how we met. After that he went through the whole casefile I sent to Chicago two months ago. We asked me the questions on the I-485 form and just basic biographical information.

After that he asked if we had any more evidence to add to the file, which we provided some.

He told us that he deems our marriage real but he'd have to do a final background check before he could approve me. When I got home I checked the website and it says "Card in Production" so I guess I am good for now. smile.png

This was pretty relaxed and easy. He was a very nice officer to begin with, so I can't tell any horror stories.

Congratulations!!

I just received a new update on my EAD and it says, On March 21, 2014, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. ... sigh! One thing I noticed about the date (i.e., March 21, 2014 in this case), usually I received the notification the day after the date they mentioned sending it, just like my notification on my interview date, which was February 23, 2014 when they sent it (and yes, it was a SUNDAY!), I received it on the 24th of February (a Monday). I don't know you guys if you have the same case or if you have noticed this. I just hope I'll receive it tomorrow (crossing my fingers here).. let's see if my theory is correct dry.png

Anyway, good luck to us all January filers, I believe most of us are having a March interview-schedule... please, please keep us updated and how long does it take for the whole duration of the interview.

Again good luck to us and have a great weekend everyone!!

Check your case status again guys!! I usually check mine a couple of times in a day (just checking if its possible to change status or information for any updates multiple times in a day). Got mine just now and it says, "The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on March 21, 2014. The USPS tracking number assigned is 9205592338400129019383. You can use this number at www.usps.com to view updates to the delivery status of your mail. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283." Yay!

I can't find the tracking number and I gave up being on hold with USCIS after an hour on the line. Quite ridiculous that they say that current waittimes are roughly 25 minutes..

Happy new Week to everyone. Its been quiet in here lately.

I've accepted the fact that Chicago is slow as heck in processing the AOS apps but I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that this week, any day now - we'll hear about the EAD
