submitted all AOS/EAD/AP January 2nd..

received NOA for AOS/EAD on Jan 24th...long time to get to california..

AP was rejected then resubmitted Jan 22nd..still no word about it..

no biometrics appt yet...

How do you go about doing a walk in without an apt? it that advisable? the local office is 5 min away from my place so im just wondering if thats a good idea

There is an entire post on here somewhere. I'm not sure an early walkin would benefit you if you live close. I'm thinking you keep your original place in line even if you do it early. we only attempted it because we were going to be there anyway. We weren't sure they would even let us. We just explained the situation and they let us do it. I think it depends on the office you are trying. Our office is small and there was no one there but us.

I have to admit that I had planned to do an early walkin a long time ago but then decided to wait until the appointment date. Then, I got a call for an interview in the same town so I decided to give it a go.

Submitted my AOS package on 01/14/2014, it got delivered on 01/16/2014, I got the NOA emails on 01/22/2014 and on Saturday 01/25/2014 I received the paper NOAs in the mail. So far so good lol. I'm waiting on my biometrics letter now. I believe it should be here latest by Friday. I will keep my timelines updated and keep everyone informed. :-)

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC : 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

Filed AOS 1/25/2014 it was delivered 01/27/2014 at the moment it's still sitting at the postal office waiting to be picked up by USCIS. So fingers cross for a acceptance and a noa1 in the next week or two.

I got my NOA1 on Jan 6, if I'm not mistaken and had biometrics on the 17th. Our appointment for biometrics wasn't supposed to be until Jan 31 but we did an early walkin and they let us. The office is 3 hours away and we were already there so we tried. I wonder if early walkin speeds anything up....

I have heard that it does not but it's good to get it out of the way. Now it's up to them to hurry up and send that EAD. good luck!

I think we also may get an RFE, I think I did the tax bit wrong...

Thanks I hope so. I keep hearing they have a backlog so was worried it would all take forever. To be honest am sick and tired of sitting at home and doing nothing so I really hope the EAD comes quick.

About the tax thing we sent what we had which was just the w2 for 2011,2012 ,2013 and we sent the 1040EZ for all 3 years. we may get a rfe cos we didn't have the IRS tax transcripts. I did order it from IRS just incase a rfe turns up.

I've done some research on that and many ppl got their biometrics done as walk-in. You need to have an appointment first, though. Apparently there are some centers that are better about allowing walk-ins than others. Still, if you are so close to yours, once you have the letter, just try and odds are high you will get served earlier.

I haven't found any substantial evidence that early biometrics expedite the process, but who knows?

BTW: I just got my appointment letter. I am not planning on early walk-in; my center is two hours away and I'm scheduled for Feb 13. No big deal waiting two weeks at this point.

June 2013 - I-130 sent from overseas

January 2014 - applied for AOS/AP/EAD

March 2014 EAD/AP and I-130 approved

May 2014 - AOS approved

Hi wanted to ask since your from uk too if you went to see the panel doctors here in the US? My 3025 form was ticked as incomplete and waivered. Some of the vaccines were not age appropriate and also no flue vaccine because when I did the medical with the Knightsbridge doctors it was not flue season. I am hoping this is fine and no rfe for that.

Hiya, I did not go to see the Dr here, I just sent them my 3025 form - which was the same as yours (I took Medical last Aug) As far as I know, this shouldn't get an RFE as its still valid (within 6 months) fingers crossed!

Thanks for the reply. I hear some of them don't always know their own procedures. We will just have to keep fingers crossed that our files land on the desk of someone who knows about the wavered vaccines.

I am still stalking USPS online mail tracker. Still no change. It still saying its ready to be picked up. I wonder how often USCIS go to the PO box to pick up the mail.

I checked my case online and I saw it had changed. And they said they sent out a notice earlier in the week.

ugh so annoying..just checked the status online and for AOS it says they mailed an RFE on jan 24th ...so i have to wait to see whats wrong
