Just read my rant what poor spelling lol. Sorry guys its Too early me To spell right i am sure you can slot the words in for me. Haha

lol...you are all good Nurseling....!

Oh my goodness, what a roach story. You are right, once those crawlies are in a place, it is hard to get them out. The alternative of spraying poison regularly to keep them at bay is equally as terrifying. Good that you found a place that works for you all and is roach FREE....awesome.

Woohoo that you got your biometrics done, albeit episodic. Well at least it is done now and now a new wait begins. Things are really moving quickly for folks here now, so won't be long for us :)

As for me, I have a cold. It is raining outside and cold and dreary....kind of how I feel. Do you think I could find Lemsip anywhere? Nope. I stood in front of the cold/flu remedy isle and everything looks the same and Heaven only knows what is a good product to use. So after just buying a throat spray, I went home and made a honey and lemon tea and took an ibuprofen (I couldn't even find panadol...lol)....crying.gif I thought about you and all the stuff you brought over and laughed...how well planned you were...if only I was that organised.....lol

Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new roach free home. :)

Checked my AOS status online last night and it was changed to Testing and Interview smile.png

I am still waiting for my EAD! I want it sooo baaaadly!

CJC, yes you are right! Being optimistic is all I need right now.

Good luck to us all and have a wonderful week everyone!

Hi Me-Myself-and I...woohooo 'Testing and Interview', this is wonderful. Almost like hearing 'I love you' for the first time.....ha ha Things are moving along to be sure!

I just received a text telling me my case status had been updated. I checked online and the I-485 status now says Testing and Interview...Yaay! I guess we're making a lot of progress. Hopefully soon they will mail out the information for the interview. My wife was 'twerking' to it when I told her lol. I know she's silly lol.

Hi MaleAlpha....I am soooooo happy to hear this for you and your wife. Progress is indeed happening. I am pleased that you even got a notification....see, being hopeful does work...lol....

Nice to read all you who have seen progress. My status has been stuck at acceptance for AOS and initial review for AP and EAD ever since the beginning. Sigh. Maybe it's just not updating, but something is actually happening.

Hi vbtwo...I am sure that you will hear something soon....that is certainly my hope for you :)

Best wishes to us all...x

Hey CJC

Sorry to hear your not feeling to good. I do believe your better off with the lemon and honey in hot water. Seriously cringe when I see all the stuff on the labels here in the pharmacy section. Most not even approved by FDA. Scary stick to the lemon and honey and your panadol if it gets too bad go with your binoculars and read the labels first before buying anything. Get yourself some tunes they are pretty good for blocked nose.

Yes my roach free home is nice taking time to sort out my kitchen. Today I started day one of my juice fast. I need some serious detox. Starving like Marvin right now but I got to stick to it. By tomorrow I will probably start getting a bad headache but that's to be expected when your body is detoxing from all the ####### we put in. My energy levels are feeling pretty ####### right now plus I keep thinking about food lol. Plenty water to fill the gap in my stomach with some apple cider vinegar to help suppress my appetite. Can't wait to get through today. My hubby thinks I have lost the plot but I have done this before lost a load of weight and felt better physically and mentally. My juicer however is ####### going to have to go buy another one that works better.

Biometrics was just a load of my chest. I got a alert from uscis yesterday regarding the change of address the date has now changed to the 19th on all three applications. Hope it's not too long now.

I have a android phone And in the App Store there is a free app to install on your phone so you don't need to keep loggin into uscis website cos as soon as your file gets touched you get a little Statue of Liberty sign flash on your phone to let you know you can the click the app or loginto uscis website which ever you prefer to see whats been done on your file. Got fed up with stalking the uscis case status page so got this app to alert me.

God I am starving lol.

Go to the interviews, try to get job offers and with those you can expedite the EAD. At least that's what I read on here. If they really want you, they'll wait for you to be allowed to work.

Yes that's what id was thinking to do. Thank you so much for the information wurstbrot

Thanks CJC. It was such a big relief to finally get an update. It was crazy having to wait and hear nothing from them lol. But sure being hopeful does help. I have started doing other things to keep me busy too. I signed up for the gym, started skating again, cooking more often (even though I struggle with the measurements sometimes like quantity of oil to use, how much pepper is too much lol) and I also volunteered to help with the independence anniversary planning of the Ghana Association of Oregon.

Looks like we January filers are having things moving really faster than usual. Most people get to the stage where we get to after over 2 months but we seem to have it much faster. Good for us. I wish everyone gets more progress on their individual cases too.

It seems like one of USCIS' new years resolutions was to speed up the process. :D

I agree with the cooking bit, coming out of college, I never really cooked, but it's great fun and so easy here, with the cup measurements.

I had a job interview yesterday (actually it was the second round, with 2 1on1 interviews back to back) and it felt like it went well. I so hope to be considered for the role. I want to earn some money finally, as bad as that sounds.

Wurstbrot_royal. It is really refreshing that they are finally picking up speed and being quick about our applications. Yours is particularly extremely fast lol. Your entire process will be in just about 2 months and a few days! I'm excited for you regarding your job interviews. I'm sure you'll nail one great job pretty soon. Seeing how your case is speeding, you might not even have need of the EAD. Good luck to us and God bless us all!

Hey guys! Good news about the progress for you :) definitely a good thing they are moving forward for certain cases.

I spoke to USCIS about my case and he said NYC waiting time for I-485 175 days!!!!! I really hope he's wrong....he also said currently my local office is working on July 2013 apps...!!!

I better get comfortable, this is gonna be a while for me :(

Topoftherock_rock. Usually the people axon the customer service lines at USCIS give a lot of misinformation. I'm sure the person you spoke to probably read it off some chart and it might not be true. I'm pretty certain you will have your interview scheduling notice within this month if you're already done with biometrics. Stay hopeful and give it a little wait till maybe next week NAND see what happens. I personally got no updates till the update yesterday about the testing and interview.

Thanks a lot, really hope you are right! I did my biom on 7th Feb.

I'm seeing a lot of progress updates for everyone and its making me a little antsy! This is even though I'm in no rush for the GC! I need to get back to studying lol I'm stressing myself out for no reason.

Really like this thread, always positive :)

P.s maybe this impatience with USCIS is my way of procrastinating? If so, I need another distraction! Lol
