Hi JBForever, did you also attached the i-693 from civil surgeon or just the ds 3025 vaccination sheet?

hi there! musta ka na? nope, i just sent the DS3025 sheet attaching the highlighted I485 proviso t on page 4 i think it was that i dont need to send another medical if i had done it abroad and just required the vaccine supplement sheet.

i read a couple of people only provided that and went thru without problems. besides, i tried finding out the rates to have a surgeon transcribe the form in an I693 and they want me to do another medical. just a visit alone costs $150 without anything being done...do u have any tips for me? i havent gotten the RFE letter yet so i am just hoping its just a f-up otherwise, i am in deep trouble as we are really hurting for money now. 3 AOS app is lots of money for my spouse....

Hey CJC so glad to hear your appointment was a walk though lol. If only everything else in life was the same. Sounded like they weren't too busy there. The darn snow has stopped me getting my bio appt letter cos the postal service was not delivering yesterday. Hopefully today they have done something.

To make things worse I applied for 17 jobs and a reply for a interview for 7 what bad luck cos I got no EAD to work yet lol. I wonder if I can delay the interviews or go and delay commencing work. My hubby is laughing cos he was shocked It has not not taken any time for me to start getting interviews I only applied last week. I guess hospitals are desperate for staff now days.

How's the baking going? I made a white chocolate cake the other day. Only took one slice and well 2lbs weight gain I was so upset

These people cleared out the supermarket cos a little snow meant the world was ending my god the shelves in walmart publix and Kroger was so empty even the mouse was malnourished from lack of food. I thought I saw one lying on the shelf in walmart begging me for food lol. Jesus they really over exaggerate bad weather in this country. Don't no one come live in the UK cos they wouldn't be able to survive the rainy and snowy days.

If they don't resume service soon I will physically go and put the salt on the roads for them so people can get to work. My hubby wasn't complaining cos he got a day off.

Go to the interviews, try to get job offers and with those you can expedite the EAD. At least that's what I read on here. If they really want you, they'll wait for you to be allowed to work.

Possibly helpful info for those of you who've done your biometrics and are waiting for next steps:

I had my biometrics done (early walk-in) on January 31. I noticed when the ASC attendant took the fingerprints, quite a few were rejected and not re-taken (apparently that's common, as I've seen on other threads). Anyway, I rang the FBI customer service line today to inquire on the status of my background check (you just need your A#, number is 304 625 5590, press 1 then 2 then 9.)

The FBI (who have really great customer service by the way) said that due to the backlog caused by the government shutdown, they're only opening mail from January 13th at the moment - so it sounds like it'll be another two weeks at least before they get to doing my background check.

ajhigh..If that's the case then it's quite terrible. We're already mid way through the 2nd month and at the end of two weeks, we will be in the 3rd month. Hopefully they speed up the process so we get our adjudications a little faster.

Hi JBForever..prior to your receiving the hard copy RFE's in the mail, did you receive any form of notifications like emails, text messages, updates online..regarding the status of your case and the RFE's? I seem to be in a big black hole..Asides the email NOA's which I received on 01/22/2014, I haven't received anything online or in an email or Text (I received my paper NOA's and Biometrics too but got no email notifications on that). My case status shows the same last updated date of 01/22/2014. I just want to be sure I do not miss anything.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

More Importantly, I am a proud Anti-Fascist!

as they say, no news is sometimes good news!

now to answer your Q, nope! i never got any email notices even though i signed up for email notification thru the uscis website. i only found out about it when i checked my status online. that is why i failed to see that 2nd RFE dated 2/11 until i have already sent out the response to the 1st RFE on 2/12.

to give you an idea how your case might run, here is mine:

sent out AOS docs - 1/11/2014

received by uscis - 1/17/2014

got biometrics appt letter - 1/24/2014

did biometrics - 2/10/2014 as scheduled

received 1st RFE letter dated 1/31 - 2/7/2014

sent out response - 2/12/2014

got 2nd RFE dated 2/11- 2/14

so you not receiving anything might actually be a good thing. who knows? you might only get a notice for an interview which is fine by me if i was in your place....so cheer up! its valentine's day! be happy and dont worry about this for now.luv.gif

Ajhigh..I called the USCIS customer service line about 3 hrs ago regarding an inquiry on my biometrics. The customer service rep put me through to a Tier 2 agent because she was not privy to the information I needed. After being put on hold for about an hour, I finally got to talk to someone. The agent was actually very nice. I had worries about my biometrics being accepted because at my appointment they had me redo it several times. I had my appointment on 01/31/2014. The agent told me it went througy good and they received my FBI background check results on February 4th. And as at yesterday someone was working on my cases. I guess they see more updates on their system than we do. So regarding what the FBI rep told you, I would say don't pay much heed to it. Mine was on 01/31/2014 and it was processed with the results sent to USCIS on 02/04/2014. Its just unfortunate we don't see much online or receive any email updates but atleast today's call gave me confirmation, they are working on our cases more than we think..albeit a bit alow though lol

Hiya JBForever....wow, how frustrating re your RFE..crying.gif . I am sure you are on it, but saying anyway - make sure that you respond to your RFE , even just writing and letting them know that you sent this information with the first RFE (or send the info again....up to you).

I was only reading on VJ the other day about another poster who had been sent a second RFE and they didn't respond (only called USCIS to tell them that they already sent the info) and then they received a denial for their AOS due to 'abandonment' of their petition - which of course wasn't the case and now they have even more work to do to get it sorted...arrggh!. Sigh.....so many things to tick of the list hey? lol

Hiya AlphaMale...when I read Ajhigh's post my heart sunk. Thanks for doing your own inquiries and letting us know about it. I am so relieved to hear that they are working on your case right now, especially 'cause they don't update you along the way!! :) Pretty quick turn around on the prints also....yay! Have an awesome weekend!

thanks for the heads up CJC. i dont wanna take my chances then. i was thinking to call them once they received my RFE response to the 1st one and find out if i need to resend it again. but with that experience, i wont risk it,....

also, i tried calling the FBI, they said they are not allowed to disclose any info and advised me to call uscis abt the status of the BI check....oh well, i am sure it would move along ...

Jannapa..you can call USCIS and request an expedite in your EAD. I did and they sent me a mail to fax back proof of why I need this ( in my case, I don't mind waiting for the regular processing time but I just decided to request the expedite to see how it works..if it works, I guess that will be good news..if it doesn't, I'll just wait for regular processing time). It usually takes about 2 days from the time of your request for them to send the mail. I made the request on 3rd February and they sent the mail on 6th February. I didn't receive the mail till 11th February. I faxed back the proof on 12 th February and I haven't heard from them yet. If you're lucky they would email you instead of send a mail.

I cooked my first meal today without assistance from my wife lol (Funny how wait is making me channel my energy into some other productive things). So I guess I used that to celebrate Wurstbrot_royal's rapid progression and to our lucks on the whole. God bless us all!
