Hi xover. You're welcome aboard :-). USCIS correspondence tends to take sometime to get to the recipient from experience. I'm pretty sure you might receive it between today and Wednesday looking at the issued date. Also request for initial evidence is when some evidence that was supposed to have been part of the original package was excluded. An example is forgetting to include proof of a current individual income or a birth certificate or a federal tax return form. Request for additional evidence is when USCIS decides they need extra proof asides what has been initially provided by the applicant of something such as more proof of the existence of a relationship or proof that the petitioner and their spouse live in a common residence.

Hi MaleAlpha and Xover :) Great advice MaleAlpha has given you there Xover, this has been our experiences mostly here. Hope your RFE is easy to sort. Good luck and hope things go smoothly after this lil speed bump :)

Hello there!

I had my biometrics done this morning in Milwaukee. I got there at 8.50am and was out the door at 9.01am! (My appointment was at 9am).

Thanks to the advice here, I took my marriage certificate as they asked for it, twice...thank you again!! :)

I also asked the lady who did the biometrics if the Milwaukee office takes walk-ins (for other VJ'ers), she said firmly 'no' and that the office was a busy one and they rely on the appointments to keep to their schedule of up to 90 appointments per day!! (yikes)

Dear USCIS, may I please have my EAD now?....pretty please....lol

Have a great day awesome folks :)

Wow that's great to hear that they are moving so fast.

Finally got my rfe letter (good call malealpha), and they want a copy of the applicants birth certificate. I submitted copies of birth certificates for both myself and my USC spouse with our application, so not quite sure what happened there. I'll see if maybe I can submit a notarised copy now (hopefully that's sufficient).

Hi guys,

so I just check the status of my AP i-131, and it said that:

"On February 10, 2014, your address was changed relating to the I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT that you filed. Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance."

My case status for that AP is in Initial Review.

I am very confused because we never changed any addresses, it has all been the same all along.

Any insight into this?

Hi xover. Good that your got your rfe. No idea what happened there either, perhaps they lost it? Notarized sounds the way to go. When I sent back my rfe (for the same thing), it took them about 4 days to notify me by email that they received my rfe paperwork. Hopefully that helps you with the timeline :)

Hi kiki2013. I would be confused also, it seems very odd doesn't it? I have seen over my time here on VJ that the activity on the USCIS website often doesn't align with what happens. MaleAlpha still hasn't had his file updated since 01/22, yet I have been updated every step of the way. Go figure? If you are really worried, it can't hurt to call. You might be on hold for a while, but it might be worth it to put to rest any concerns you might have.

Hopefully others might chime in with their suggestions :)

Hope your having a great weekend. Enjoy your cake therapy.smile.png

Hey there Nurseling...What a busy time you have had of it all. Your posts always make me laugh hard. My Dad is a hoarder so I know what you are talking about there. Thankfully I didn't marry one...ha ha. But that said I am sure you found treasure in your move?!?!

Wow, you are starting on the job applications already? 10/10 for brown nosing on your applications...ha ha I really need to get a car so I can be confident to drive to an actual interview, so kind of a horse before cart thing...lol

I am still trying to work out the coupon stuff. There is a trick to it (apparently) but I don't think I will go trash diving for it...yikes..lol

I am so hearing you on the skinny genes.....I might as well just paste the calories on my thighs just thinking about food, it is where it heads straight away in any case....Thank goodness for gyms!!

Had my biometrics today, glad that is done and hopefully in no time at all things will move for us all. Good luck on the job hunting.. Have an awesome week :)

Yaay! CJC..That's great that you were able to do your biometrics today.. I guess with these hurdles out of the way, the next phase is receiving the EAD/AP and the interview. Quite interesting that it's almost a month since I filed. Time seems to fly by slow but looking back, it's flying by fast too lol.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

call uscis and clarify. it sounds odd that you wouldn't know what change of address they are talking about. i got the same update with my I-130, but it was several days after we had moved and notified uscis about it.

or, by any chance, do you think it is possible you have mistyped the case number and got info for someone else? - something that would easily happen to me (yep, so me!)

Hi All

Received update on AOS - now ready for interview scheduling.

EAD and AP still status is still initial review.

wow, i think this is good news, isn't it?

i see things are moving for you guys, i will be getting my biometrics on thursday, and then my plan is to call and request expedite EAD

i was joking earlier today with my husband's boss (British, who applied for GC back in the late 70s - apparently not much has changed since then, other than back then they used real ink for finger prints. must have been a lot of fun:/

anyway, my fingers are crossed for all of you!

June 2013 - I-130 sent from overseas

January 2014 - applied for AOS/AP/EAD

March 2014 EAD/AP and I-130 approved

May 2014 - AOS approved

It's possible that they just pressed the wrong button and it updated to the wrong message. It's not like they actually type in the status messages themselves, just press some button somewhere to update it. Call them to make sure they didn't actually change the address to something wrong.
