CJC and Nurseling..wished I was anywhere around you guys so I could drop in odor some of your baked goodies lol.

About the USCIS site though, at least from my experience, they don't really update anything..and if they do, it is rare. From the first day when I got my NOAs (when the site indicated a last update date of 01/22/2014) till date I haven't seen anything change. I would have been a little concerned about the spate of process regarding our applications till I received the biometrics appointment.

When I used to work for a US company offshore and came here to have business meetings with the team here on projects, there were times when I needed extensions on my period of stay. USCIS would usually never update my online case status and would just send me the approval notices through the mail every time. So at least I know that I can not depend on their website for updates lol.

I guess it's now back to waiting for us. Hopefully it won't be a long wait. Some of the December filers have started receiving interview dates scheduled for March. So if that is anything to go by, we should expect seeing interview dates scheduled for late march into April, depending on when the application was received or which service center is processing it. In times like these is when an EAD/AP would have come in handy to take our minds of the wait.

Hey JB

We got to keep our spirits up right!

Hope you don't have to wait too long. Sounds like thinks are surely moving along.

Nurseling....after reading your posts, if (heaven forbid) I ever fall ill I am going to ask if I can be expedited to Georgia...my expedite reason shall be 'laughter is the best medicine'....you are a funny gal indeed!

Good job on getting the stuff for your 'ailments'...were you a Girl Guide by any chance? Their motto is 'always be prepared' and if there was official AOS prize for that, you would win it......lol

As for the cinnamon scrolls, I will be strong...at least for now :). I couldn't agree more on the chocolate front (lol at your addiction). I don't want to eat the chocolate here at all, unless it is hand made (I know a lovely chocolatier ...yay) I am sure that the locals would find the chocolate from whence we came to be equally as disappointing. Sorry to say I tried Cadbury from the UK and it didn't end well either....*note to self to arrange a care package!!

Yikes on the senna! What a tale you tell but good for you. I think I will stick to treadmill...the floor in the bathroom here is too cold for that!!

I have to admit I am feeling edgy at the mo. My RFE got there yesterday (yay) so it is anyone's guess on when they will do anything with it. I keep reading stories of the USCIS site not being updated and I would be so grateful to know that things are happening (which is true for us all). The biometrics next week will be wonderful to get done and perhaps that will push things along - as it will for all of us. It will all work out as it is supposed to work out I guess :)

Your husband is a very wise man for telling you to stop picking on the USCIS..lol

Hope you get your mail soon Nurseling, and indeed everyone.......I am sending vibes of loving kindness to the USCIS and to everyone here... :)

Now, there is only one thing left to do for when the going gets tough, and that is to bake.....have an awesome day!

Hey CJC

Ever thought of taking a Wilton baking class. I was thinking about something to pass time and was checking out online where they do classes. What amazing creations and so yummy looking. My god if I took those classes I doubt the senna would work for me any more I would have to go do some colonic irrigation just to stay slim lol.

Hey MaleAlpha...thanks heaps for your insight re USCIS. I hope that it doesn't end up being like that for us (or anyone!) as being kept in the loop would really be the most compassionate thing the government could do for its future constituents. I must have been the exception during my K1 process as the USCIS website was kept updated all the way through to the Visa being issued. Well I am a hopeful sort and I will continue to keep the faith..... if I could Fed-Ex my banana and walnut muffins, they would be in front of you now....come to think of it, they would also be in front of the folks working on our cases...lol

Hi CJC

Glad to hear your rfe arrive at uscis office. Yes you are right they don't always update the system however at least you know they got your reply.

Why aren't you walking in for your biometrics like most here?

I got my running shoes right by the door waiting to chase down the mail man.

As for weightloss today on lost 0.8 oz see I should have taken the darn senna I may have increased the loss to 1 whole lb. oh well back on the senna today and getting the pull ups ready incase of accidents lol.

My belly is beginning to look flatter though. That's probably cos I have been peeing for England.

I tell you the whole weightloss thing increases your water works. Where I used to work I was lucky to pee once in a 12 hour shift. Partly because they don't want to pay you to take a toilet break lol. Seriously we were not allowed to leave our ventilated patients alone and well no one ever came to relieve you for a toilet break. So I guess my bladders making up for it now lol.

Stomach is getting flatter though as for the stretch marks well that's a discussion for the future!! By the time I loose all this weight and my skin starts to sag my husband may think the rhino is a relative of mine. I wonder who would win the most wrinkly competition between the two of us.

Still waiting for a reply from my surrogate job lol. My husband said no amount of money is worth stretching out your body again. I had to explain to him that when your a jobless individual like myself waiting on EAD we result to desperate measures. He is lucky am not applying for a job in spearmint rhinos lol.

I promised my husband I would leave uscis alone today.

Went walking yesterday. Decided to take a leaf out of your book. People were staring at me like I was a alien and I bet they were thinking. I wonder what drug she is on walking around this area where everyone else is driving. I might make a sign and stick it on my head saying immigrant just to give them a Bit more understanding of my situation lol.

About the chocolate Swiss is the best one I remember years back when I use to eat everything and anything. I would go looking for chocolate and never really cared how much more expensive it was to buy. When Charlie and the chocolate factory came out I really wanted to be a Umpa Lumpa man. Cos it meant I would have access free cheap chocolate. Of course when I started looking like Augustus Glup I had to stop.

Told you all my patients are dying for me to nurse them so come on over to Georgia and laugh with us.

Nurseling aka January Filers 2014 resident comedian!....I am waiting for the bio next week due to hubby being able to take time off work. He does shift work so it is easier for us to work about the scheduled time :) Worked out good in the end re the RFE anyway...yay.

Congrats on your weight loss...that is fantastic!! I am thinking about getting a zimmer frame for walking, I overdid the weights on my legs two days ago...oh,at least I know I am alive...lol

It is such a lovely day for a walk here, the sun is shining so brightly and it is melting all the snow....YAYYAAYAYAYYAYAYAY....

USCIS, to infinity and beyonddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd!

Hi Jenneth. The dates asked for on the form are supposed to be estimates. So makes estimates on when you think you might want to travel and fill in the dates.

Great news JohnGr, take care and enjoy getting bio'ed! smile.png

all worked out with the early walk in, very kind people, took 30-45min all in all.

just one thing: if you changed your name because of your marriage and you do not have an american ID with the new name yet, like me rolleyes.gif ,

then bring a marriage certificate with you! I didn't bring mine and that made things a little complicated and I had to wait longer.

so now the wait ClockWatch2.gif continues ...

Hi everyone! i just want to ask and hopefully i could get an answers from here to my questions..:)

first of all, i got here in U.S. last december 11 2013 and we got married dec. 26, 2013.. but we havent filed a change of status yet and its already feb. 6, 2014 now...i still have to get medical coz i need 2 more vaccination to be perform by a private doctor. My husband already found a private doctor to the vaccinations but scheduled on march 3, 2014..gosh! its almost the time of my visa expiration and it s freaking me out! because what i believe if i am correct, that i need to get medical before i can file for the adjustment of status??? not sure !!! is it possible that i will be deported because i filed almost the date of expiration of my visa? or it is ok just as long as i filed it within 90 days and that we already got married? please help me...i need some info...

Thank you so much! your answers will be much appreciated!

Hi Alijora. From your question, I could infer that your visa type was a K-1. The 90 day condition has to do with when you get married. Filing for the adjustment can be done at any time after that even 6 months after the expiration of the visa BUT you need to get married within the 90 days, else the visa expires. It seems you have already married and did so within the 90 days, so for now you are good regarding the visa. So just get your medical done and file for your adjustment of status anytime you are ready. I hope you are aware though that the medical examination has to be done by a civil surgeon designated by the USCIS. So just ensure that the private doctor is a designated one. I don't know why your wait time for the medical exam is in March though, you might want to check with some other civil surgeons in your area to see if they could schedule an appointment for you this month (probably next week). Also while you wait to do the medical exam, you could start reading and filling the forms. Good luck!

Holy ####### the mail man truly is running away from me. He got to us at 6.00 the evening slapped 3 letter in my husbands palm and said these are for your wife.mi take it she will leave me alone tomorrow right!!

My husband came in laughing saying what find you do to the mail man he was so scared when he handed me the mail. Haha true he doesn't know I will be chasing him down for the biometrics appt letter lol.

So noa letter came all three. How exciting I am truly in the system now. Now they can track me lol. I better behave myself then.

Today I have been busy packing for our big move into a bigger place next week. We have only see. The show home cos the apartment was not ready. I hope to god we aren't moving into a roach infested apartment cos me and roaches don't get on. I can't stand anything that crawls except my son of course lol.

I did tell the lady if there's roaches I won't be living there we will just have to look for a hotel till we find another place.

I bet the mail man won't miss me. Will have to re-introduce myself to the new mail man/ woman.

Going to have to do a change of address online so the long awaited EAD and AP doesn't go AWOL.

I had a epiphany today. I have realised am doing things all wrong. When in Rome behave like the Romans. So here's what am going to do am gonna become a extreme couponist. Heck those people never pay for their groceries everything is free. I saw this one woman's pantry in the show I watched and thought wow she is a true horder.

I may not even need a job, just need to clip those coupons then go and wipe out publix and krogers shelves. Hey I got to make the money from AOS back some how right. Free food free drink free country. No free AOS :(

Who the heck ever heard of cutting coupon and getting free food in the UK!! Only in America you got to love this country right!!

Hi Jenneth....When I filled out my AP form I left the dates blank (after researching on VJ), MaleAlpha's suggestion of putting estimated dates down would be fine also. I just put the reason for applying for AP was that I needed to be able to leave the country as soon as I was able to in the case of a family emergency and I specifically mentioned my Dad. No RFE on that form (well so far) and I have already received an RFE on another matter.

hi guys:)

i see you are all having fun while we wait for the most coveted EAD dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

that's very positive Nurseling:) keep 'em entertained...

just an update tho, as promised...i got the RFE in the mail today and it said we need to submit the I-864 form latest version. that's about it! the frustrating part abt it is, we did send that version. So i guess we just have to send it again....oh well, good times!smile.png

Hi JB....hey there! Wow, all over the version of a form. Well at least that was in an easy one to remedy. Sorry that happened but good it is over and done with....yay :)

No free AOS sad.png

Who the heck ever heard of cutting coupon and getting free food in the UK!! Only in America you got to love this country right!!

Hiya Nurseling....holy cow, were you burning the midnight oil or what...lol.. I have learned about this phenomena re the extreme couponing and the in-laws have been really helpful about it. I never figured me for a coupon cutting person but one can literally save $100's, so totally worth it.......they call this the land of the free, maybe that's what they meant and Gamble and Proctor coined the phrase......lol

I am so happy to hear that you received your trio of NOA1's from USCIS, your biometrics shouldn't be too far away now...:)

Good luck with organising the move. I seriously hope that you don't end up anywhere roachy....ewww.....I lived in the Northern Territory for a spell and those roaches were everywhere. My second language became screaming as they always made a bee-line for my head.....aarrghh. The post traumatic terror I feel to this day when a leaf falls on me really warrants some sort of counseling....lol...hhmmm *happy thoughts, happy thoughts..

I am gonna make a cake and eat my feelings...lol. Have a great day and weekend!
