Omg! I didn't send proof of my citizenship. I sent my husbands (beneficiary) but I didn't send mine. Do you think we will get a second RFE! I thought my citizenship was already verified during the K1 stage. I must have skipped over reading that part.

Hey izzy

Isn't it funny how what we sent from what we didn't send is constantly playing in our minds like a scratched record. Don't stress they may not notice if you get the donut eater who couldn't careless what you put from what you didn't put as long as he gets his lunch break. You could consider mailing it in anyway to save yourself a rfe. I know I remember putting passport copy in along with the UK biometric page and the US visa page. I remember thinking when I was doing it what a waste of paper they already had this info in the k1 but I put it in anyway. If the forms could talk they would say when you provide the evidence pretend I am a idiot so treat me like one. Pretend I don't know nothing about your immigration status. That's what I did put it all in and I am now going to wait to see what donut finds a flaw in my evidence. Heck I even put a note regarding the medical form why it's incomplete. The reasons being it was not flue season and wrote in laymen's terms an explanation of there exemption policy just incase the donut didn't know the rules lol. I believe they want you to spell everything out for them.

On a serious note you might want to consider mailing it out anyway you have nothing to loose right!

How do I do that? When I sent the RFE, I had to include a barcode page they sent me. Can I literally just mail it with the case number?

I have spent a lot of time replaying what I sent. I used the guide from here and I didn't see where it mentioned sending my BC. I did send my husbands though.

I hope everything hurries for us all! I'm so tired of this!

If it helps, I followed Nich-Nicks guide for AOS - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FIsgnb7Tfj7tcRNnqRMKUOXQdEfR6HTUDY2vX6zKqqU/mobilebasic?authkey=CNXN_oQH

This member knows everything regarding the UK side (and prob more!) and really helped me get most of my packages/docs together.
I think if you follow that guide (esp for UK members) you should be ok...obviously it may be a bit late for most people in this forum who already sent it in :(
Really hope you dont get another RFE!

Hi Izzy...I did exactly the same thing, the birth certificate for my husband (USC) directly relates to the Affidavit of Support and I don't remember reading that part either :( I received my RFE on Monday for it and going on that basis, I can only assume you will get an RFE for it also.

Because you have the case number, I can't see how it would hurt to send in your BC, the worst that could happen is that they send you an RFE and at best, they don't. In this case I would, because you know you didn't send it.

Aside from our senses of humour while we wait on this process, it isn't overly fun is it? In a few year's time this will all be a distant memory....until the ROC.....*bangs my head on the desk..lol. I am sure it will all come together for good though :)

Hi Destiny..yeah I wasn't sure if they were going to allow it or not but I decided to go try anyway (especially since my original date wouldn't have been convenient for me) and it worked lol. I'm happy your NOAs eventually arrived in the mail. Based on my timeline and others timeline, I believe your biometrics should arrive within 5-7 business days from tomorrow (since you received your paper NOAs today). I wish you all the best and hope your biometrics comes up quick. I wish you the very best!

Hey izzy

There was no where it said that. I sent mine cos I had read on the VJ site about what to send so made a copy of my birth cert and sent it to them. Don't know if sending your case number would help but it's worth just doing it and hoping for the best. Let us know how it goes.

Nurseling....after reading your posts, if (heaven forbid) I ever fall ill I am going to ask if I can be expedited to Georgia...my expedite reason shall be 'laughter is the best medicine'....you are a funny gal indeed!

Good job on getting the stuff for your 'ailments'...were you a Girl Guide by any chance? Their motto is 'always be prepared' and if there was official AOS prize for that, you would win it......lol

As for the cinnamon scrolls, I will be strong...at least for now :). I couldn't agree more on the chocolate front (lol at your addiction). I don't want to eat the chocolate here at all, unless it is hand made (I know a lovely chocolatier ...yay) I am sure that the locals would find the chocolate from whence we came to be equally as disappointing. Sorry to say I tried Cadbury from the UK and it didn't end well either....*note to self to arrange a care package!!

Yikes on the senna! What a tale you tell but good for you. I think I will stick to treadmill...the floor in the bathroom here is too cold for that!!

I have to admit I am feeling edgy at the mo. My RFE got there yesterday (yay) so it is anyone's guess on when they will do anything with it. I keep reading stories of the USCIS site not being updated and I would be so grateful to know that things are happening (which is true for us all). The biometrics next week will be wonderful to get done and perhaps that will push things along - as it will for all of us. It will all work out as it is supposed to work out I guess :)

Your husband is a very wise man for telling you to stop picking on the USCIS..lol

Hope you get your mail soon Nurseling, and indeed everyone.......I am sending vibes of loving kindness to the USCIS and to everyone here... :)

Now, there is only one thing left to do for when the going gets tough, and that is to bake.....have an awesome day!

CJC and Nurseling..wished I was anywhere around you guys so I could drop in odor some of your baked goodies lol.

About the USCIS site though, at least from my experience, they don't really update anything..and if they do, it is rare. From the first day when I got my NOAs (when the site indicated a last update date of 01/22/2014) till date I haven't seen anything change. I would have been a little concerned about the spate of process regarding our applications till I received the biometrics appointment.

When I used to work for a US company offshore and came here to have business meetings with the team here on projects, there were times when I needed extensions on my period of stay. USCIS would usually never update my online case status and would just send me the approval notices through the mail every time. So at least I know that I can not depend on their website for updates lol.

I guess it's now back to waiting for us. Hopefully it won't be a long wait. Some of the December filers have started receiving interview dates scheduled for March. So if that is anything to go by, we should expect seeing interview dates scheduled for late march into April, depending on when the application was received or which service center is processing it. In times like these is when an EAD/AP would have come in handy to take our minds of the wait.

~AOS : 09/11/2014 - 2 YR Green card received!.

~ROC 07/13/2017 - 10 YR Green card received!.

~N-400 : 10/28/2020 - N400 Interview & Approval/Oath Ceremony/US Citizen!

More Importantly, I am a proud Anti-Fascist!

Hi CJC

Glad to hear your rfe arrive at uscis office. Yes you are right they don't always update the system however at least you know they got your reply.

Why aren't you walking in for your biometrics like most here?

I got my running shoes right by the door waiting to chase down the mail man.

As for weightloss today on lost 0.8 oz see I should have taken the darn senna I may have increased the loss to 1 whole lb. oh well back on the senna today and getting the pull ups ready incase of accidents lol.

My belly is beginning to look flatter though. That's probably cos I have been peeing for England.

I tell you the whole weightloss thing increases your water works. Where I used to work I was lucky to pee once in a 12 hour shift. Partly because they don't want to pay you to take a toilet break lol. Seriously we were not allowed to leave our ventilated patients alone and well no one ever came to relieve you for a toilet break. So I guess my bladders making up for it now lol.

Stomach is getting flatter though as for the stretch marks well that's a discussion for the future!! By the time I loose all this weight and my skin starts to sag my husband may think the rhino is a relative of mine. I wonder who would win the most wrinkly competition between the two of us.

Still waiting for a reply from my surrogate job lol. My husband said no amount of money is worth stretching out your body again. I had to explain to him that when your a jobless individual like myself waiting on EAD we result to desperate measures. He is lucky am not applying for a job in spearmint rhinos lol.

I promised my husband I would leave uscis alone today.

Went walking yesterday. Decided to take a leaf out of your book. People were staring at me like I was a alien and I bet they were thinking. I wonder what drug she is on walking around this area where everyone else is driving. I might make a sign and stick it on my head saying immigrant just to give them a Bit more understanding of my situation lol.

About the chocolate Swiss is the best one I remember years back when I use to eat everything and anything. I would go looking for chocolate and never really cared how much more expensive it was to buy. When Charlie and the chocolate factory came out I really wanted to be a Umpa Lumpa man. Cos it meant I would have access free cheap chocolate. Of course when I started looking like Augustus Glup I had to stop.

Told you all my patients are dying for me to nurse them so come on over to Georgia and laugh with us.
