Just got back from my walk-in biometrics. That was awesome, great staff, great experience. smile.png 14 days after delivery to the Chicago location. Let's hope the EAD will make its way soon. smile.png

Oh btw. guys look on craigslist under jobs in the etc section for paid studies. That's a great way to keep oneself entertained in the meantime. wink.png

LOL to you Nurseling, you could have your own stand up comedy show.....lol.

Oh how I ache for Sushi Train and a coffee shop that makes a 'Long Black' (which is the very rich and expensive cousin of Americano coffee)...but it is a small thing compared to being here with my man now :).....While the food (that I am used to) is quite different to that of Oz, America has AWESOME food! Admittedly not so great for your diet food, but awesome nonetheless!!. I am also cooking new things that I previously wouldn't have had the time to prepare . Consequently, all of this = gym membership....lol

I am so looking forward to getting a job and meeting new people too. There is much to explore and learn about my new home, so many 'firsts' to experience. I just wish the snow would melt immediately as it is quite the inconvenience....he he

Too right america has great tasting food the type of food to die for and I mean that literally lol. High blood pressure bad cholesteral and all the good things that comes with the yummy American cuisine. Not to mention the extremely high sodium and sugars that's in most foods In The stores. I got to get my binoculars out every time I go to the supermarket to read the the darn ingredients before I buy anything on the shelf. Don't you just love the side affect they stick on the back of any and every drug you buy in the drugstore. If the food don't kill you the drugs will. My husband crack up every day he says I have too much to say lol I need my own talk show. Still working on getting my own talk show only I don't think I would be hired without EAD. Move over jerry springer there is a new Alien in town. I will call my show the bald headed one kidney no credit no EAD fat incontinent tetrapalegic alien show. Thank you very much USCIS!!!

On the upside that senna tea isn't working yet. May not need the pull ups.

Haha went in to the craigslist like you said and looked under ETC anyway didn't realise I had gone into the uk craigslist lord behold there was a job titled ladies let me sniff your feet for cash lol. If I had known such a job existed while I was in the uk I probably wouldn't have wasted my time going to nursing school lol.

Finally found the US craigslist and looked under etc for Georgia state. Great place to find many jobs that want to pay you so they can experiment on you lol. One particular one caught my eye. Earn cash to be a surrogate mom. I wonder if I need EAD for child bearing. I did notice it said earn $35,000 hmm am seriously considering this one will ask my husband when he gets home if I should apply. Heck already had two kids I had to keep and feed and suffered the stretch marks and fat stomach for zero salary so might as well get paid for the inconvenience this time round. Anyway it might help me expedite my EAD if I had a surrogate job offer letter lol. :) :) will put in the application and let you guys know if I need the EAD to conceive the babies.

Ohmygosh....you made me choke on my coffee.....seriously, you need to get in front of Ellen or something....but you are right, no EAD, no worky worky for the Aliens....that was even funnier....lmao

I completely concur on getting out one's spectacles to read the labels on everything. The amount of processed (and equally delicious) food is astounding. It really is encouraging me to make food from scratch and besides it isn't like I don't have the time and well, quite frankly, I like eating. I am so scared to even try a cinnamon scroll, I know I will love them and there simply won't be enough hours in the day to work them off at the gym....300 calories for ONE, oh how I wept.crying.gif ...I have made a vow to myself that once I have lost the weight I have gained since I got here (and then some), I am allowed to have one......sigh, it's gonna be a while....lol lol

The drug warnings are something else too aren't they? I hear the benefits and then the possible side effects and think to myself, 'Self, better to just live with ailments than risk one's mortality - jeepers!' It is so different here, but I am sure in time it will become the norm.

Haha my pervious job at the hospital don't like giving me seriously I'll patient cos they are scared I will kill them with laughter. Seriously my patients fight to get me allocated to them in the mornings cos they really want a good laugh to cheer up their day. Laughter is good for the soul I always say.

Yes I agree with you about those drugs. The stuff they say on the label as a side effect makes you think no thanks I would rather suffer or die than to suffer all those side affects. See I carried my drugs with me when I left England. Went to my doctor and told him I had chest infection, so he gave me antibiotics then I went back and told him I had uti ( urinary tract infection) so he gave me another type of antibiotics. Then I went back and told him I had pain in my back so he gave me pain medication then went back again and told him the pain med wasn't working I need something stronger so he gave another one stronger than the first one. Heck he even gave me 3 different types of birth control tablets lol I might have to stop taking them f I get that surrogate job though!. I kept going back till my luggage was full of all different types of drugs for all ailments. Hey the way I saw it I paid my taxes when I was in the Uk so the NHS owed me lol. My husband was concerned I wouldn't get through customs he thought I would be stopped for carrying so many tablets. He said doesn't your doctor think your a hypochondriac. I told him my doctor thinks I have a terminal illness he was just doing his end of life duties by giving me everything I asked for he probably thinks I am dead now lol. That is till he sees me in his surgery when I finally get my AP. Let's face it healthcare cost too much money here in America. I was merely saving my self money from all those costly trips to the doctors by predicting all the possible illnesses I may have in the future and getting treatment before it occurs. It's called preventative medicine lol. They teach us that in nursing school.

I would seriously stay away from that cinnamon roll it's dangerous. if you consume one you will keep going back till you end up looking like a Cinnabon. Trust me anything that taste so good like that ain't good for you. Take it from me cos I been there done that. I was addicted to a very bad habit I had to have it every day and every night, I dreamt about it in my sleep and drooled when I saw it. I had it for breakfast lunch and dinner. I am so ashamed to say I was a chocoholic. Chocolate was my crack! Seriousley I had to go cold turkey. I don't buy It any more I don't even walk down the isle in the supermarkets that stores it. It was too dangerous for me. I almost checked myself into rehab for this addiction . Almost checked into chocoholic anonymous. I was going through one whole big bar a day. when I say big I mean the huge 300g dairy milk bar every day can you imagine how many calories is in that stuff. I really was scared that if I continued on my chocolate crack I would end up contacting the extreme weight lose guy chris powell or end up on a episode of biggest looser with jillian Michael's screaming at me.. So take it from me if it taste too good and it gives you a feeling of euphoria after eating it stay away from it it's a habit about to form. Leave the cinnamon roll alone you will look back and thank me one day for this advice lol. I thank The Lord that the US has Hershey making their chocolates and well once you taste UK or Swiss chocolate no other brand taste as good lol. It's like comparing UK Swiss chocolate crack to Hershey bar methadone now I am sure you will agree there is no comparison. Being here in America has saved me a lot of money and now I won't need gastric banding. Cos the chocolate taste horrible!

Yesterday I lost 1.6lbs the senna did its work. Yes it worked so well I pulled the mattress in the bathroom and slept there lol. No senna for me today. My husband was laughing at me when I told him to pass me the pillow so I could rest my head on the toilet seat.

The post man did not bring my hard copy of my notice of action yesterday. I think he is avoiding me. Going to have to utilise those binoculars of mine so I can see him coming today.

As for my online status no change still in initial review. I wonder if I need AP to travel to Missouri to stalk USCIS office. Hmmm their all probably sat down eating cinnabons in that office.

Now let me go stand at the window and see if that mail man is disguising himself to avoid me.

I just saw another job on the craigslist. It's for a maid/cleaning tech with experience. I have experience I got no EAD so I am forced to clean my house every day. That's enough experience I think.

Must live within 15-20miles of the area. I got no credit to buy a car so will have to walk 15 miles to the job.

Must own a car as driving is required. I just said I have no credit and so I can't get a car to drive there

Must have a driving licence. I have no drivers licence :(

Must submit to a background check. Well that's gone and done it cos they will discover I am a alien with no green card no EAD no licence no car and no credit. I better not apply for this one before I get deported by USCIS for being a illegally working Alien immigrant maid/cleaner lol.

My god just to clean someone's house what a hassles.

Thanks USCIS now where the heck is my EAD !!:(

I think the mail man disguised himself as the neighbours dog just saw the dog running away from me with some papers in his mouth lol. I bet that was my NOA1. Will be ready for him tomorrow with my running shoes.

My husband just told me to stop making jokes out of USCIS efficiency and their ability to get the AOS done quickly or I may be waiting till they are good and ready to give me mine next year lol. So I better do what the drug company's do when they say theses statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

I already applied for the surrogate one. I figured I may not need EAD for that plus it keeps me at home fat for another nine months and it gives a excuse to go back to my glutton ways of eating again lol.

it is scheduled for 02/20, but I will try an early walk in at the Albany office tomorrow.
