Hi All again,

I'm filling the I-129 and want to make sure everything is correct (being #######). But it's an important form so I want to do everything right the first time. She's in Vietnam and I'm filing as soon as I can.

1. On the new I-129F form, theres two address areas for my fiance's information, question 3.a-.i asks for mailing address and question 29.a-f asks for "fiance's address abroad. Her mailing and physical address is the same so I'm guessing I can use the same address for both righ?

2. She lives in Vietnam and this is how she emailed me her address:

376/19B Ly Thuong Kiet

Khom 3 Phuong 4

Thanh Pho Soc Tran

- Most might not be able to answer this but how would i tranlate this? I know the first line is the street name, and last line is the city, but how do I transfer/translate "Khom 3 Phuong 4" onto the form? Is that the appartment #? Please help if you know Vietnamese address.

3. Finally, I found the k-1 visa guide and it's been really helpful but doesn't have a sample of the new I-129F form, just the old one that's expired. Does anyone know if there is a new sample floating anywhere around this site?

Thanks again for helping.

1. Yes

2. I would translate to this:

376/19B Ly Thuong Kiet

Group 3, Ward 4

Thanh Pho Soc Tran? or Thanh Pho Soc Trang? which one is right?

Soc Tran or Soc Trang city.

Province? Soc Trang?

I don't remember if I translated the address.

Would you recommend translating like putting "street" after the street name and changing "Khom and Phong" into group and ward? or would you recommend just leaving it the way it is? "Soc Trang" is the city, but should i put "Thanh Pho Soc Trang" or Soc Trang City.

I was leaning towards leaving it without changing into English because even when I go to the Post Office to send things, I just write it out like that and some how USPS is able to get the item to them.

I would rather leave as Vietnamese language without ascent marks. The post office would not know the address if we translate to English. Also, US Embassy in VietNam is the one that will need the address to send instruction letter and appointment letter to your fiancee. I would recommend to leave as the way it is so that Post Office can delivery.

You can write Thanh Pho Soc Trang or Soc Trang, and make sure you write down "Province". Good Luck

My fiancee has been received the letter from Embassy and her address is Vietnamese language without ascent marks.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ANH HAO. That exactly answers my question. But just one follow up question, isn't Soc Trang a city? or do I put in providence? As you can tell I've lived in the US most my life LOL. Thanks again.

Also, what line should "Khom 3 Phuong 4" go into?

the options i have on the form in the address area are:

Street Number and Name

Apt. , Ste. , Flr.

City or town

Providence

So if Soc Trang is providence, then "Khom 3 Phuong 4" go into the Apt, ste, floor sections?

You should ask her address again about province and city. Soc Trang is province but It could be the same for both province and city as Soc Trang. I would write 376/19B Ly Thuong Kiet, Khom 3, Phuong 4 on the same line and leave apt , ste, F blanks.

So...I looked on the map and can see the road and the ward (phuong) in TP Soc Trang (Soc Trang city). I would put the street number and name as indicated in the previous post, followed by Khom 3 Phuong 4 as indicated. You have a street number and this is definitely in the city so you should be fine.

Soc Trang (same as city) province.

Your address is somewhere on the east side of TP Soc Trang.
