  1. 1. Your thoughts regarding the Frank Luntz quote (see below).

    • Idealistic but unworkable.
    • That is exactly how it should work! It can work like that. He is right.
    • Pure bs. It's intended to sound idealistic and well meaning but the true agenda behind it is one intended to further enrich the powerful at the cost of the rest of us.

Frank Luntz: "You should not expect a handout. You should not even expect a safety net. When my house burns down, I should not go to the government to rebuild it. I should have the savings, and if I don't, my neighbors should pitch in for me, because I would do that for them."

For many people.... if they "expect" a safety net to be there.... they then "plan" for a safety net to be there.

A safety net should prevent one from spattering himself on the floor, yet not so comfy, he want to say in it.

I do agree with the sense of entitlement. Seems like a lot of folks think they know better or deserve better just because of where they were born. You still need to work for things. Immigrants know this, which is why they're owning us.

I've noticed an extreme sense of entitlement from one particular group of immigrants. They wear a form of workboot/slipper called Uggs along with sweatpants that have the word "Juicy" plastered on the #######. But they are most notable by the streaks of orange cheese dust smeared onto their clothing. Rumor has it they were sent here to berate and castrate every American male.

I would say safety net to catch you once and we should provide for those that can not provide for themselves.

Other than that
