Hello,

My fiancé sent the I129-F package on December 14th, 2013. On December 23rd, he received a letter from USCIS saying he forgot to endorse the check... Well, he send an new endorsed check that same day. Since then, he didn't hear anything anymore.

So it has been 2 weeks now since he sent the new check but he didn't get any news. Yesterday he tried to call USCIS but no answer.....

As I understood, he should have received a confirmation that they received our package, or our case number or NOA1 only after a few days the documents are sent, am I right?

Have you ever experienced that? I want to believe it's because of the holidays and things got slow but what do you think?

Thanks!

We got our NOA-1 a week after received at Dallas Lockbox. Assuming people are just go back work normally this week. The delay probably due the holidays. Did you sign up for NOA-1 by email or text?

Be worth seeing if the cheque has been cashed at least you know if they got that. Normally you get the NOA1 a week or two after sending the petition in. Last year we sent ours on 18 Dec and got NOA1 8 Jan i think.

We sent the G-1145 form in order to receive the electronic notification when USCIS accepts our application.

I don't know if they will send NOA1 by email or mail.... By sending the G11-45 form, I assume my fiancé will get the NOA1 by email??

You're right Nobbie, I will tell him to see if the cheque has been cashed.

I just don't understand why this 1st step is already taking so long....
