what form of response were you seeking?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

On November 18, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

i-130 for parents . how much they will take ? help plz

Have you called them yet? they are open until midnight. No one on VJ waits around for NVC because as you see it takes months when you could have probably been done if you had called and got your case# and started the processing. Please call.

If you wish to wait for the first response to come in from NVC,

that will shift your casefile into 'postal notification processing mode'.

Expect 3 months from the time that NVC logs the casefile, to receive the first postal piece. Then 6 months for the 2nd notification, and 6 more months for the 3rd notification.

Here at Vj, ages past, folk figured out how to 'go fast' at NVC, by kickstarting the whole thing via telephone.

If'n you are not calling NVC, using a telephone, I have to ask - what guide or instruction sheet have you been reading?

At a minimum, find LingChe in the wiki. Sure, it's for spousal visas, but the steps are the same.
