Let's see how long it takes to be DQ or RFE.

Hello !

The post says that the embassy calendar is open for appointments for July, but as the visa applicant I thought we did not have any say in choosing our interview, but it would rather be NVC choosing for us in coordination with the embassy. I am pretty sure that the only way for us to register our appointment on the US embassy's website is after receiving our interview appointment letter.

Please guys let me know about what you think !

Have a nice day.

Laurent

Hey Lolobrinny,

I confirm: when you have received your itw letter, they give you a date and a time for it. But then, you can go on the Embassy website and change the date if you want. They give you several propositions.

But as long as you don't have that precious interview letter, there is nothing to be done.

:)

Hello Everyone,

Eventhough, our file was still "at NVC" on NVC's website... I have just received the interview email !!!

July 22nd in the morning at the Embassy in Paris.

I am very happy (of course) and anormally calm about it (I think I have not processed the news).

Going to book the doctor's appointment now.

😋

Congrats !!!! Good luck for your preparation :)

Does anyone have an update?

Seems that the earliest appointment are for July 22nd. Does anyone know if this is for both K1 and CR1?

Hey Mario001,

I have seen franco-us couples on this forum who have their appointment earlier than that (like early July - don't remember exactly the date). To be more precise, one couple has the interview around July 7th, another one has it around the 20th. Mine is on the 22nd.

That's all I know. But it seems that a lot of appointments have been given for July at the Paris Embassy.

Take care,

Alix

Hello Everyone,

Does any of you have his (US citizen) spouse coming over to France, from the US in the next coming weeks?

What are the chances that he/she would be refused before taking the plane, or on the arrival at the airport in France?

My husband is planning to travel to France on July 20th and it is very hard to find concrete infos (on the Interior Minister website, both English and French version don't match ; the French version says basically it is fine for the French citizen AND his spouse or kids to come over to France, while the English version is "the French citizen accompagnied by spouse, etc."

What do you think? Thank you,

Alix

It's just my opinion but I don't think they would refuse entry to the spouse of a French citizen. When the US banned travelers from Europe, spouses of US citizens were still allowed in.

For our story, look at my profile.

I would wait for the upcoming days, when the EU is going to release a travel guide, saying which countries can enter the EU. I think they are going to release it tomorrow. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but it maybe you will have more info then.
