Hi @Alix64

thank you for your answers and the informations 😀

i thought they can deny entry to the country . Good to know that they cannot .

Hello again :)

I don't know of course all of your story, and why you cannot have an ESTA.

The officers at the border can refuse your entry if

1) you have committed serious crimes (from overstaying, to any kind of lies and of course any kind of more important crimes) - I guess it is not the case since you are applying for a greencard

2) they think you are going to stay without permission - since you are doing the greencard process, again, you are playing by the rules and that is a sign of good faith. Make sure you put in your file, your bank account, your accommodation contract, etc.

3) you are rude ;-). Don't be 🤣

Have a good evening,

Alix

Hey 😀

my esta was denied when USCIS told me ( after they lost my first I-130 petition ) to apply for visitor visa and once in USA to ask for AOS
Paris  denied it and blocked my esta as I want to immigrate and told me to do the “right way”

yes, if we do it , I am gonna be prepared with all the evidence I have to show that I have to come back to France .

Sorry if I’ve been rude , was not my intention 😕🙏

have a good evening too Alix 😉

Yes, a long time, but I can officially enquiry only after 120 days so I have to be patient until february!

The social security number also never came on his own (even when requested on the form), so after 30 days I went to the office and requested it there directly (they didn't want to do anything before 30 days...).

I am settling alright, I am actually learning how to drive for now, and still looking for a job!

I think so, the stamp is suppose to be valid for one year. I did a cruise for Christmas holidays, but my passport never got stamped by any country so don't know for sure. However, when I got off the ship back in the US, the immigration officer asked about my physical green card and I said that I was still waiting. He said that he knows a lof of people in this case so I think the wait is pretty commun..

I'll also visit France next week so in a few weeks I can tell you if I had any issue coming back.

Hi Everyone !

Hope you are all well.

I wanted to see where my French couple fellows were at and who is still on this forum.

I am waiting for NVC to create my case number, so still at the beginning of the process. I know Mr&MrsT are waiting to be DQ (anyday now).

What about the other French US Couples?

Take care,

Alix

Hi, everyone,

I had my interview Wednesday 8th at 8:30 am and I was approved. I’m still waiting for my passeport to arrive by mail. The immigration agent told me to wait up to 12 days before I received it, I just can’t wait.

Your ESTA was denied, why? Have you had an approved ESTA in the past?

My husband visited me several times on ESTA while his CR1 was pending. He plans to do it again now, after his interview for CR1 and before CR1 is issued. The status is still in Administrative Processing, it’s been 45 days and counting, and the separation is killing us. I wish I could come visit him but my work in USA won’t allow me.

The interview went pretty well.

Here are the questions I was asked:

-How did you meet?

-For how long have you been married?

-She asked for pictures

I gave wedding and honeymoon pictures

-Have you seen each other during that time? Which one of you traveled?

-What did you use to go to the US?

Esta

-Any overstay?

No

-What does your husband do for leaving?

I had my medical exams/appointment the day before so she told me it would take a little longer to received my passeport back.  Unless my medical results showed something    problematic I was approved.
