Hello everyone ,

i have a little problem and Honestly start to worrying..

we submit everything at NVC on October 10th and it’s says “submitted “ but when I go on CEACstate . Gov it’s says “ action required ; submit request documents “

we called them and they say to not care about that and that they have our documents but to me it’s weird .
plus I see a lot of people being reviewed very quick and I don’t want to waste more time ..

could someone help ?
have a good day !!

Accordingly to diffrent FB groups and considering their last maintenance breakdown, they often have gliches in their system. And they said you not to worry so I wouldn't. How long ago did you submit your documents? I know some people are super lucky and get DQ in a day/week but most of us wait solid 5-6 weeks.

I waited 5 weeks for my first review and now it has been a week since we resubmitted one missing document.

October 17 2019 : documents reviewed by NVC - one document missing / others approved (first review after 35 days / 5 weeks)

Thank you for your answer .

I had so much problem since we start that process with one time one info ,another time another info that sadly I don’t trust them 💯

we submit our documents 17 days ago so I know that we have again a long road to do and probably no interview before 2020 now . But I still hope to hear something soon. Who knows 🤷‍♀️

i hope you will have your DQ soon 🤞

have a good day

Hey! My husband just got an interview scheduled at the Paris embassy for November 6. The website says he can go and get his passport and visa himself after the interview when it's ready (instead of having sent). Has anyone done this before? If so, about how long after the interview is the passport ready? Thanks!

You cannot pick up your passport at the embassy. The options are to have it sent to your address or pick it up at the location they provide, I think there is only one in Paris actually. You will have to chose what option you want. If there is no problem with your application, it should take only a few days but they do not commit any time.

For our story, look at my profile.

Hey Everyone,

(especially those who got married and divorced in a previous life...)

USCIS got back to us today. They are requesting for an additional evidence :

"you submitted a foreign language document that appears to be a termination of marriage for (MeAlix). Submit a complete and accurate English translation and a photocopy of the corresponding foreign language document (...)". The thing is, we did send the original of the jugement of divorce in French + a certified stamped translation in English.

It seems that the problem is the stamp of the certified translator which is in French (3 words basically). Has anyone encounter that problem too?

Thank you for your help.

The "funny" thing is that they ask that for my divorce document but not for our marriage doc which has been translated and authentified exactly the same way... maybe we are going to get a separate notification for it too :(

Quick question (again, sorry) to all of you 😉 who got married in France: what kind of marriage certificate translation did you send to USCIS? Was it apostilled on top of everything? (we sent the French original + certified translated English version (no apostil but stamp of the official translater). Thank you again.

Hello,

when we sent to USCIS our marriage certificate we sent the original one with the stamp of the

« mairie » + the one translated in English with a stamp at the bottom of the page from the official translater

Thank you for your answer. That is exactly what we did too...

(the stamp is at the bottom of each page on both original and translation with number of identification from the translater)

I don't understand and don't really know how to solve this apart from gathering the documents again (birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce jugement) and have them translated in the US by an official US translater. What a drag... :(

if you don’t mind , could you tell me what  did USCIS told you Exactly ?
i don’t think doing them translate on US side will change something .and plus it’s so expensive  ..Maybe according to what they told you you can ask the official translater to modify the stamp or the presentation .

Hello. We got married in France and we gave USCIS the ''certificat de mariage plurilingue''.

I hope you can fix this divorce certificate issue quickly!
