We got DQ today! Waiting for interview now. It’s about 3-4 weeks for CR1 visas, right?

How long did he take from CN to DQ?
I read recently that it’s pretty quick to have an appointment in Paris , 3-4 weeks .

I don't know what CN is but I submitted all the docs through CEAC on 9/24. All were accepted and approved a week later, total surprise. NO RFEs, either.

Sorry @portorusa

i read from USA to France ...

Here is the good answer lol :

i just did all the vaccination for my kitties recently to bring them form France to USA

No more tattoo . they have to have a micro cheap to be identified .

and a EU passport

I had a lot of infos from the DDSPP from the veterinarian services in France .

if I can help tell me .

Thanks Mr&Mrs T! I checked online, and it says a microchip is not required for USA. Only rabies vaccine and Veterinarian Heath Certificate. How much did you pay per cat to transport them? Were they in cargo or in cabin? What air company?

It’s not an obligation but highly recommended .
we are still waiting on my case number but we have two cats and didn’t want to do everything in a rush .
We already contacted some companies , and TAP ( air Portugal) allow them in cabin for 150€ each cat . It’s better for the cat to travel in cabin due to the low temperatures in the hold .

TAP is the less expensive ( we searched a lot) and very serious ( my husband flew from Boston to Marseille with them when he came in France and he was very satisfied )

they advise you to call them before booking online to be sure that they have room on the place ( there is a quotation for each flight )

Hello everybody,
I want to know your thoughts about how US Embassy in Paris contacts people. Is it by email or mail? I had my 1st interview in November 2018. They told that I needed a waiver (I-601). My waiver was approved since September 10,2019. They reopened the DS-260 last Sunday for me to update it, what I did. It’s been 3 weeks and a day I still have no message from them.

Does anybody have an idea. Thank you for your help.

Hi guys ,

ok , I have a question, a little bit weird but I need help lol
I am thinking about the medical appointment in Paris .
i know I am still far away from it ( still waiting for my Case number ) but I need an answer .

i have a treatment for Thyroïd issues since 2011.and I make it check 2 times a year .

my doctor « offered » me to do a cytoponction but I can not resign myself to do it right now .

i had the appointment planned last June and I cancelled it I was petrified completely unable to go  . And then it’s about 3 months to have another one because they just work on Friday mornings . Just one place to do it ( I live on an island )

i am very afraid of it ( a needle in my neck , I can’t. it’s impossible )

my question is : at the medical exam I will have to talk about my medical records . If I say that I didn’t made this little surgery , is it a « red flag » for my visa like . She didn’t had this surgery in her country so she is gonna ask to do it in USA ?
i am afraid about that

please do. Not judge me , we don’t have all the same reaction .

thank you 🙏🙂

Hello,

I don't think that will be an issue at all, but I'm not the doctor ;)

Great news! Almost there :)

We got DQ on July 11th, and the interview email on July 22nd for an interview originally planned on August 7th. So not even a month between DQ and interview day!

Sorry, cannot really help as the embassy called me once about changing the day of my interview, and then I just received my visa ''packet'' through the mail. All the others excange were emails sent by NVC

On the Paris Embassy website they say that the medical exams can be done in Paris, Lisbon or Ponta Delgada.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/PRS-Paris.html

I am wondering if my French husband can have his medical done in Lisbon even though his interview will be in Paris?

Has anybody done this?

Ahah thank you, I can't wait to be there now! I had only bad news this passt week! With XL Airways cancelling all the flights, I had to buy a new ticket, and I ordered suitcases online, they never arrived... It's time to move on ahah.

Good luck with the rest of the process, I'll let you know how it went at the Port Of Entry :)
