If you do a timeline search on VJ, it looks like your are looking at 5 to 6 months between NOA 2 and interview (that includes the NVC stage):

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op6=All&op66=All&op7=France&op1=3&op2=&op3=1&op4=1&op5=5%2C6%2C8%2C10%2C11%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C16%2C17%2C18%2C20%2C21%2C22%2C25%2C26%2C27%2C28%2C108%2C110%2C111%2C208%2C210%2C211&cfl=

After completing the NVC stage, you wait for the embassy to contact you with further instructions (https://fr.usembassy.gov/fr/visas-fr/visas-immigrant-fr/) :

For CR1, they give you an interview date, I assume it would be the same for K1.

Thanks so much for all the info !

I wasn't expecting the wait to be so long ugh 😞

Anybody can tell us about the current times between NVC case complete and interview?

I just got my case number so I'm not close to be done yet,  but just wondering what are the time frames for interviews at the Paris embassy.

And a bit about us, we sent the I-130 petition mid December, got NOA2 at the end of March and just got our case number.

A vite,

If it can help fellow french people with the CR1, I just finished the medicals exams and here is what I can tell you :

Once you get your interview date, you can book the medical appointment online, it's pretty straightforward.

Before the medical appointment, you need to do a X-Ray, a blood test, and a urine test. You have only one choice for the X-Ray center, and two choice for the others exams. You can book the X-ray online too.

I went to labo Clement and still have a bruise 10 days later . The labs Don't give you anything to take back with you, but the X-ray center give you the X-Ray, a CD and some paperwork.

For the actuel visit with the doctor, I had an appointment with Dr. Jolly. I brought with me my passport, the results from the X-Ray, my vaccination record and all documents I found useful for a medical visit.

Costs : 50€ for the radio, 60€ for the labs exam, 240€ for the doctor visit… I guess they are just trying to prepare us to the costs of medical in the US

Interview is on 4th of September, and I will give a feedback on that too!

Super utile. Merci :). Take care!

N'hésites pas si tu as d'autres questions :)

Hi K-Kwette

Thank you for detailing your timeline, it's very informative.
I am currently waiting for approval for K1, do you know on average what's the timeframe to get an appointment at the French embassy (after NVC) ?
And does the French embassy contacts you and choose your appointment date for you or you choose yourself?

Thanks again !

For the CR1, you get the interview date from the NVC actually. Then you have to register the appointment on an online platform.

I couldn't attend the appointment given by the NVC and I could change my appointment directly with the embassy (but it's a bit difficult to contact them on the phone!) Then, I also had to contact the online platform service so that they could update my appointment date online.

Hi guys,

ok today I have a question a little bit special . It’s for my cats lol

we bring them in USA with us and went to the veterinary for the passport , vaccinations etc but he don’t find some info and .. now it’s up to us to find them ..

anyway ..he is the only one around ..

so if someone can help me because I look everywhere , send mail but no answer ..
The vet asks me to provide information on what follows:
 - What is the antibody titration required for transport to the USA?
 - what are the mandatory / proscribed parasitic suppressants according to the states.
 - what is the delay for the clinical examination before departure.

thank you for your help !!!

Did you check CBP and USDA websites? I found this:

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/56/kw/pets

https://www.aphis.usda.gov/aphis/pet-travel/bring-pet-into-the-united-states/pet-travel-cats-into-us

There does not seem to be any specific requirements. On the USDA page you can also pick the state you are traveling to.

You questions don't seem specific to France so maybe you should post on a general forum too. I am sure some people here have done it before.

I'm happy to say that I got my visa approved today :)

Some feedback on the Paris, Embassy :

Appointment at 10am so I got there around 9.35. They make you wait in line in front of the embassy, around 9.45 they let the people "in". You go Under a "tent" for a precheck (they check your bags, ask to turn off your phone, be careful as laptops are not allowed!), then you go to a desk where people put your paperwork in order. Then you go Inside the building, with another security check (this one is like at the airport). You will have to give them your phone, electronics, chargers, usb key, keys… They give you a number in exchange).

Then you go in, and you follow the line for visa and you wait for the first step :

I waited around 45 minutes, then you go to a desk and they ask to confirm name, phone number and adress. They also asked me for my passport, 2 ID pictures, Birth certificate, wedding certificate, police certificate. After that, they make you go wait in another until your name is called. I waited around 15/20 minutes (it's hard to keep track on the time when we Don't have a Watch). My name was called at a window (you are not in a room alone, it's more like customs at the airport) and the "interview" began. First step, raise your right hand and swear to tell the Truth… Then you sign a paper to confirm that you are telling the Truth. The officer asked me few easy questions (when did you got marry, where did you meet, what was your husband doing in the UK, what is his job, do you have kids….) and finally the "Congratulations, your visa has been approved! Best of luck in the US!".

They never asked for proof of Relationship or affidavit of support, but it's probably better to have them in case they ask! Every case/officer is different.

He said they will mail my passport within 2 weeks, with a sealed enveloppe that I cannot open and I will need to give to the officers when I enter the US.

I received my passport today with the visa in it.

Didn't get a sealed enveloppe, from what I see, my case is electronic and that's why.

I paid the green card fee yesterday.

Will fly to the US on the 1st of October.

Good luck to all of you waiting!
