For us they didn't.

It's something they give in the states that show how much you got pay for the year. You need it to fill out your taxes.

Thank you Borodine! In how many times did you received your passport/visa after the interview. I took the expedite send, for having that soonest, but I don't know how many time I can expect for receiving... It's hard to know when to take the flight ticket, if it's better to wait for having the visa, or to take it now and make an estimation ect... So many things to think about!!

Thank you Borodine, it's really helping me to plan everything!! I just have a last question ! They say the birth certificate and police record are for each applicant. Is my american fiance an applicant too? Should I have his birth certificate and police record too??? Thanks a lot for all the answers!!

did you check the CEAC status to see where they are and the last time it was updated. We received ours within a week or so after submitting the document we were missing.

It says that the application was received "if you have already had your interview, please check your status after two business days" I'm not sure if the American embassy observes Bastille day but perhaps this could be the reason why it's taking a bit longer? It's been 12 days since the interview now.

We got the application received notice on the 11th, two business days prior to the holiday. Crossing our fingers that something happens tomorrow seeing as he already booked a ticket for the end of the week

I would say go on the embassy page and inquire about it. That's what I had to keep doing to see any kind of update to the case.

The administrative processing is a required step. its when they do the background check and everything.

Hi Andy Jin, I also had my interview at the Paris embassy on the July 5th, and I was approved too :)

The status of my case on the CEAC website was still in "Ready" until today, it changed for "Administrative processing". There was an update before on the July 11th, but they changed the status only today.

I guess that the "administrative processing" thing is just a normal step they do before sending the Visa, like the last checks, printing the Visa.. So don't worry, it just means that they are working on our visa and we will get it soon ! ;)

Also, don't forget that it's summer time, some of them may have took vacation days.. It could explain why it's taking more time than the months before

Didnt we luck out! His status says the same, updated July 11th. It's the part about several weeks that I don't like! Fingers crossed it'll be this week for us both.
