Bonjour! I am wondering if its normal for the checklist in packet 3 to not mention anything about the I-134. Will something about that come later?

Hmm... I guess you'll have to wait for replies from recent applicants but when I received the packet 3 (years ago), the instructions mentioned about the I-864. The info were crossed out and they handwrote "I-134" instead. :)

Yea , I find it odd it was not added in the checklist. I hope someone who did this recently will know :)

I had my interview last december and that is true, I filled the I-134 JUST because it was part of the VisaJourney check list. I don't remember seeing any information of the I-134.

Although I do comfirm that they asked it at the Paris embassy.

I know every consulate has different requirements for the I-134, what did you bring along with it for proof?

So I brought my fiance's employer letter where you can read her job, her salary and when she started. I also brought her last W2. I also brought proofs of her savings and assets but they didn't take these.

I had my interview yesterday at the Paris embassy and they never asked or mentioned the I-134. I was really surprised. I brought it with me just in case but it was never requested.

that is strange.maybe they don't require it anymore, but I would think there would be an announcement about something that important.

Let's keep in mind that the embassy is a two step process. First a person collect all the forms and all the proofs you can provide and THEN someone else aprove or not your visa. My opinion is, that the I-134 is not compulsary, it's just a huge proof of your ongoing relationship. If you have the salary of your fiance, his/her W2, it means something.

In my experience, at the end of the first part (colecting forms) the women asked me if I had any other things to provide to our case. I guess that the I-134 is one of the huge proof of ongoing relationship. Let's also keep in mind that it's a small form, that you will need these informations for the AOS, so do it, it does take much time...
