Did all CR1/IR1 applicants get their interview scheduled yet? I’m French but live in Canada and the consulate still hasn’t reopened, they’re not giving any info... I’m contemplating transferring my case to the Paris embassy.

Hey Rose,

Before the Covid mess, there was an average of 6/8 weeks between the DQ and the interview.

Hey everyone! I saw on Department of States Twitter that certain embassies would be opening up their schedule for routine services. https://www.gtlaw.com/en/insights/2020/5/summer-2020-travel-advisory-us-embassy-consular-services-and-covid-19-restrictions
Then I saw on this website that France was opening up the schedule for non immigrant appointments in August. Did anyone hear from/ call the embassy to confirm this? My fiancé has Interview been rescheduled for the three times on August 5th. Hopefully this means that this one might not get cancelled.

Hi,

Still waiting for the notification from the us embassy in Paris !

My problem is my petition l-1129F is valid until 31st of July... I looked online and they say : "a consular officer can extend the validity of the petition if it expires before processing visa is completed".

Do you guys know if we have to and how to ask for an extension ? I guess all the K1 applicant like me have the same problem because this petition is valid for 4 months only...

Hi all,

I got an expedite for the interview and my case was sent to the embassy and is now appearing as 'Ready'.

trying to figure when and where do we get the interview letter. Does it come by snail mail ?

I'm guessing email,... would they send it to both the petitioner and applicant ? or just the applicant ?

Also, what timeframe would you guys say it will take ?

Have a great one

Voilà ! Interview done! 🤩

Still have to receive the Passport but we are closer than ever to being fully together.

For your info, my husband was able to travel to France from California with : a proper Covid test certificate issued less than 72hours before his flight, copy of my passport, copy of our Livret de Famille.

My review is right there ->> https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=France&page=1&dfilter=5&topic=

but honestly nothing new compared with the previous posts on the subject.

🤪 Take care you all, thank you for your great support.

Voilà! Interview terminée! 🤩

you are free now !! :) congrat
