Hi I'm Mike, the beneficiary. Question about DS-160: In section where I need to fill in my education, I filled in only the universities that I recieved diplomas to. But third diploma I did not recieve because I quit school third attendance. Should I still fill it in? I applied for student visa J1 during third time I attended university. That is why I am concerned.

I'm the petitioner... Question about I-134: What "type" of property are they asking about when they ask this: "I have other personal property, the reasonable value of which is:"? Computers, cars, land, art, like what?

Just asking you guys what you wrote in the part where it asks if you intend to support your fiance and if so, wholly or partially? Can you share your experience with that question. Thanks!

Someone else will have to chime in about the DS-160 because the form I filled in did not prompt me for my academic history (depending on the beneficiary's background, certain sections in the form may not be required).

For the section on personal property, consulates don't usually take these into account unless they are liquid or can be easily liquidated. That being said, if you want to include them, then you should be prepared to provide proof of their value, e.g. if it's art then provide a quotation from an appraiser/dealer, if you have a spare car parked somewhere, get the listed price from a reputable source.

For the question on support, are you referring to qn 8 or qn 11? If it's for qn 8 - if you don't have dependents, write 'none'. If you have unmarried minor children, it does not matter whether you tick wholly or partially as they will be counted in your household size no matter what.

If you're referring to qn 11, you can write "N/A. K1 visa process for permanent residence" as indicated in the example form here: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf The I-134 is also used for other visa types so not all fields are applicable to the K1 petitioner filling out the form.

I am filling out this form: http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-134.pdf But I notice it says at the top right hand corner that it expires 12/31/2013. Does that mean I cannot use this form? Is there a new version I need? I found that form on VJ in the page where it tells what forms needed for the interview.

I was not talking about qn. 8 but I am glad you explained that. Because I thought it was talking about my fiance and I put him. But I will put NONE now that I know what it means. Thank you!

I was asking about qn. 11. You said I am not supposed to fill that in because it does not apply to the K1 visa? I just want to make sure befor I get there with that part blank and they don't accept it. So I'm supposed to leave it blank or say that I do not intend to help support him?

Oh again, please let me know if I can still use that form in the link, even though it says its expired. Thank you very much!

You can use that form as it is the most current version. What you should look at is the "edition date", not the expiry date. USCIS has also stated that they accept previous editions:

http://www.uscis.gov/i-134 -- 12/17/12. Previous editions accepted.

A new edition of this form is coming soon. In the meantime, customers may file using the 12/17/12 or other previous editions.

For qn 11, you should use the wording in the example form I linked you to in my previous post. Don't leave it blank. :)

Okay I will do all that. Now I can truly finish this form the right way. You've been very helpful and pleasant! I hope someone as nice and accurate as you will answer for the DS-160 question.

The education history is really of little consequence for the K-1. I'd list everything, it tells part of your story, and corroborates your need presently for a cosponsor.

List everything where you studied, even if you didn't finish. That's the truth, and it won't hurt anything.
