Thank God finally our Journey is over, My fiance picked up his passport with the visa today from the Kabul Embassy !! I want to thank everyone for there help through this hard journey.. Wishing everyone Luck that are still waiting... hang in there and don't lose hope..

Our K1 Process

USCIS – Approved in 218 days

Sept. 05,12: Sent I-129F Petition
Sept. 10,12: Notice of Receipt (NOA1)
April 16,13: I-129F Petition Approved (NOA2)

NVC - 2 Days
April 22,13: NVC Received
April 24,13: Case left NVC: Destination Kabul, Afghanistan

Consulate - 251 days
April 29,13: Case Received by Embassy of Kabul, Afghanistan
May 13,13: Received Packet 3 (Interview date and Medical letter)
May 21,13: Medical
May 29,13: Interview and Placed on AP

Dec. 12,13: Embassy asked for Passport and a New Medical

Dec. 30,13: Submitted Passport and New Medical to Embassy

Jan. 02,14: Visa Status changed to ISSUED

Jan. 05,14: Picked up VISA

Feb. 19,14: POE (LAX)

01-08-2013 : We decided to be a couple and walk on the same life path!!!!

06-08-2013 : I traveled to the US to stay with my man for 3 months. We got engaged!!!!

Meanwhile :

July 2013 : My fiancé apply for his citizenship.

November 2013 : My fiancé become an American citizen.

12-23-2013 : We sent I-129F form.

12-30-2013 : I-129F NOA1.

01-06-2014 : I-129F RFE ( fee mistake - we sent 341$ not 340$ ) + NOA1 Hardcopy.

01-24-2014 : I-129F NOA 1.

01-27-2014 : Case Number changed.

01-28-2014 : Alien Registration Number changed.

02-10-2014 : Requested expedite denied.

04-28-2014 : Expedite requested (financial loss).

05-02-2014 : Email received requesting evidence to expedite + we sent evidence right away.

05-05-2014 : Expedite request approved (we called uscis on 05/08 and they told us that got approved).

05-08-2014 : NOA2

05-12-2014 : Uscis mail us noa2

Thank you, yeah I know that we have lots of more paperwork to fill out once he comes !! But I think the hard part is over which was this long separation and the waiting. Thank god that's over.

I spoke with Customs the other day and he told me that people on Visa Journey 'embellish' and that the entire visa process takes 90 days after approval by the NVC. I told him about you and I and AP and he laughed and said that we were wrong! Can you believe that! He did however tell me that K1 visas are never sent back per policy only spousal visas. He then suggested that I filled out the wrong forms! Well, I am going to find this policy and file a complaint. With people like this, i it any wonder our visa process is a mess?

Wow are you serious !! That's crazy that he would say that !! Does he think that we are all making this whole AP process up? I guess he has never tried to bring someone to that states with a K1 or spousal visa. You would think that they would have people who are more familiar with this whole system working in these kind of places who can give accurate information. Let me know what you find out. I know I dont post much but just a heads up everyone, My Husband had his interview December 29th, and he got his visa already, and we didnt have to go through AP! Whole process took 10 months! Hes coming next week bakhair :) Happy news for everyone lately, good luck all!
