Hello VJ members,

This is my first post on the community, so please excuse any errors in posting this.

Here's a quick summary of my profile:

Seeking which VISA: A work VISA (H1B) for FY2015 (have to file by April 2014)

Job Offers at Hand: None

Age: 28

Current Location: India

Job Industry: IT - DevOps/SysAd background

Experience: 4 years (all in India)

Education: Master's in CS from a USA university

My MS degree gives me hope that I can skip through the lottery system and get into the 20,000 ADE quota. I returned to India immediately on completion of my degree.

I'm looking for help in finding jobs with employers in the USA that are willing to sponsor candidates. I've browsed through and applied for a few jobs via portals like Dice and Monster but I wasn't lucky enough to find a sponsor.

If you're aware of any job employers and consultants that are willing to sponsor, or portals that cater to job opportunities for overseas candidates, please let me know. I would very highly appreciate your help.

Thanks !!

Employers that sponsor workers from other countries have to prove that they cannot fill job position with a qualified US citizen or LPR. By law employers have to have exhausted all avenues in hiring a US citizen or LPR before they are allowed to fill a position with a foreign worker. It isn't as easy as applying for a job and getting it. There is no shortage in IT professionals with MS degrees here.

Agree with mimolicious.

Another approach, if you're specifically interested in eventually working in the USA, would be to look for jobs with very large, multi-national companies (that specifically have locations where you are now and in the US) that may consider transferring you to the USA at a later date.
