can anyone with approved cases or ref's tell me what they sent as proof of marriage? all i sent was 3 years of joint taxes, joint lease, and and DD-1172 from when i was in the military but i realized i sent the wrong copy of it afterwards. wanting to know if this is enough information. please help

We sent the following:

- Copy of driver licenses showing same address

- Copy of house tittle showing joint ownership

- Copy of HOA dues showing both our names

- Copy of house and cars insurance showing both names

- Itineraries of all our trips together over the last three years

- Federal and State Income Tax return

- Bank statements showing joint ownership of accounts

- Two letters one from a friend/neighbor and one from my father-in-law.

That was enough.

We received an RFE dated July 7,2014. Mailed response on September 29, 2014. Delivered and signed for on September 30, 2014.

They were not happy with the financials and some of the other documents we submitted originally, so we sent them a pound (15.8 oz) of paper including: 2010 - 2012 joint IRS income tax transcripts including jointly addressed IRS cover letters; about 18 months of joint checking account monthy statements; about 18 months of joint credit card monthly statements; four affidavits (2 family - 2 friends); and, letters from school and pediatrician documenting emergency contact status of step parent.

We are still within the "normal" minimum two week processing time frame. Allowing for holidays, we should have some feedback within a week or so.

Olga is busily studying the civics test materials from the USCIS web site in preparation for the N-400 which we expect to be filing in late November.

I sent my RFE package requested by 9*13*2014 on 8*13*2014 and its been 60 days and we have not heard from them, so I called but my husband is at work so they need him here with me to speak with them. I hope everything is ok. Has anyone had a problem like this?

I sent in a request for status via the website form and heard back that I was randomly selected for an interview and they were waiting to schedule a date with the local office. That was almost a month ago now.

I called to try to get more info and essentially got the same response except that the agent on the phone did not mention anything regarding an interview but said I should call again if I do not hear anything by end of November to which then I should schedule an info pass for an extension -.-

This is so frustrating and I will be filing for N-400 by January this seems like such a wasteful process.

On 10/17/2014 Hamada received his I-751 letter of approval AND his Greencard.... We were not called in for an interview. After 4 years we can finally relax and enjoy life. WE are both tickled that we can finally relax.

Updating for RFE and Interview.

We went to scenic downtown Newark, NJ for a 7:30AM interview on 12/18. (Note to self: Leave a bunch of extra time for long line to pass airport level security in order to enter the Federal Building in Newark.) We arrived at the building 20 minutes early and used all of that time plus some more to get through security.

The interview went well. The Interviewer was very professional. She had reviewed our file well before calling us for the inerview. I brought copies of ALL of our previusly submitted documents. This was beneficial because the interviewer did not remember seeing one of the previously submitted documents. She was satisfied after seeing our file copy. By the end of the interview, we were discussing filing of the N-400 and N-600 (For K2 dependent) as next steps.

The interviewer noted that it was possible to just apply for a US passport for the K2 dependent after Olga receives her Naturalization; however filing the N-600 leaves a better documentation trail for the K2 dependent.

Now we wait (with crossed fingers) for the advisory about card production.
