Called on Friday as my application was offically outside the normal processing time. I was told that they were currently processing Jan 6th filings.

This afternoon I received my approval letter in the mail. No email or text update nor any updates on the USCIS case status website. Exactly 6 months from my NOA1 to Approval so I guess the VSC processing time was accurate for me. What a relief!

I just noticed we never corrected isopropano's dates. So, correcting...

I'd like to clarify our case:
I sent my packet on 01/27/14
Application received on 01/30/14
NOA I-797C 02/10/14 Indication biometrics on 01/28/14, early biometrics on 02/19/14
Receipt NOA I-797 received on 05/19/14 indicating receipt on 01/30/14 and extending the expiration date of my GC
My wife and I are still waiting for VSC to send the approval

Can the administrator correct our case?

I tried multiple times to submit it, but every time there was an error message that the form number is wrong and the case number cannot be located. I checked the info many times and everything was correct, so it might be a problem with the system. Can I request by phone to have the I 797 resent to me or do I have to wait 30 days before I can request it?

Also, how important is it to have an official letter of approval on hand?

Partita, are you using the receipt number on your extension letter? I am sure that might just work for you...

I received my green card today :dancing: but USCIS made an error with my Country of Birth and put it down as French Polynesia instead of Australia. Really weird because I only just got back from a trip to Tahiti a few weeks ago but I see no way that it could be any more than just a coincidence. I wish FP was my country of birth, such a beautiful place haha!

So looks like I'll only have physical card for a few days before I send it back with an I-90 and wait however many more months before the corrected card arrives! I foresee this delaying my planned N-400 application in January :crying:

I submitted an e request on 08/12 as my case was over the normal processing time. I checked my case status a few minutes ago and it says my new card was ordered today! Can someone please update the list? Thanks!

Make copies of both sides of your new card and keep it. When you send your new card back for correction, atleast you will have those to put in your N-400 application. Once you window opens, you should apply for your citizenship. A delay of the corrected card should not stall your N-400 process. Good luck.
