Approved!!

I received the e-mail at 6am this morning, card production was ordered yesterday May 13th! Obviously the tier 2 rep I talked to yesterday couldn't see it, or it hadn't been approved yet.

Now crossing all fingers and toes for R and L to receive the good news today too!

Congrats !!!smiley-vault-misc-013.gif Now you can relax a bit. I noticed your frustration on your post. But I'm poor VSC applicant. VSC is slow as hell. But im really happy for you :)

Things to do while waiting for VSC to process an application:

- Watch my hops grow: Glacier 15' tall; Fuggle 12.5' tall ; Cascade 10' tall; I-751 still germinating.

Feel free to add your own amusement...

Congrats to Laure&Colin and rest others who got approved

I meant to reply to this post but ended up voting it up.

I wish what you said were true. But it isn't. If they had a system to find out there would be no ROC and the world would be a better place.

Believe me, I live in California and green card marriages are rampant, just like welfare frauds. As far as I know they all get away with it. Happy ending: Foreign "spouse" gets the Green Card, US citizen "spouse" pockets $50,000 without having to live together a single day. In some cases, the "couple" barely know each other.

Sad! Sometimes I wish I had never been born or had been born back in the dinosaur age.

I agree to what you are saying. :)

You need to go through whole post,i admitted the doubt i had on these words but posted it anyway to see if somebody comes up supporting this theory.

Also i am in waiting stage so would love to believe the story which will be in my favour until i learn by the outcome of my own experience. :P

I was hopeful you'd receive your approval today too :( I guess the officer who got your case is more backlogged than mine!

I think it's a good idea to give them a call and check that no RFE or other mail has been sent. Expect some frustration when communicating with their call center though... The wait time to get to talk to a tier 2 officer (the only ones who can see more than what the website shows) is regularly over an hour. However you can choose to get a call-back when your turn in the queue comes (what I did yesterday and the call actually came a little earlier than expected).

Keeping my fingers crossed, maybe you'll get a 6am email tomorrow!

Got my card today. See ya again in approximately 6 months USCIS! Phew!

Yay!

Do you remember how many days after the card production email you received the tracking #?

I did not get tracking #, the website said they mailed it directly to me. Maybe because there's a USCIS office close to where I live? I don't know. USCIS is a mystery to me, only a handful of other things that may be more mysterious (UFO, Big Foot, Lochness to name a few...).

Anyhow, here is my timeline if that may help you.

- Got email/text on May 7 saying that I was approved on the same day. That was Wednesday.

- Received official approval letter in the mail on Saturday (May 10).

Called USCIS this morning and talked to the supervisor/ tier 2.. There was no RFE, no forgotten second biometrics needed (I was concerned that somehow I would have missed a letter to come and do my fingerprints again as the first time they had to really push my fingers and most of my fingers didn't do a good job with getting their surface "printed" :P ), so nothing to be aware of, at least according to the current info.

So I just got the slow chap working on my file I guess :sleepy:

But Laure, thanks so much for the tier 2 info! I called USCIS, didn't press any buttons, got transferred to the spanish line, said I don't speak spanish and basically got through really easy! Also the supervisor seemed to be available straight away so didn't even need to wait a call back! AND thanks for keeping your fingers crossed...hopefully I'm on the approved list soon.

I think USCIS is really the Bermuda Triangle: things enter, get lost for months, and then pop out of the fog randomly...

Good to know about the card time frame, I'll be starting to stalk my mail-woman next week.

Called USCIS this morning and talked to the supervisor/ tier 2.. It's good that you could talk to someone fast! Good news about your biometrics, I also have fingerprints that seem to be hard to capture so I understand your concern.

I guess now there's not much to do but wait, but at least you know everything is following a normal course. It's probably just a matter of days now.
