Oh I know about that, I signed up for email and text notification the day I received my biometrics letter. That's why I'm glued to my phone waiting for the good news...

Bonjour :) Laure&Colin, everybody receives the letter, but if you signed up for email notification, you know earlier that you got approved. Where I check my casestatus on USCIS, I signed up for email notification. I got approved on a thursday and right away got the email around noonish, and got the approval letter on monday. When you sign up for emails you can also track your GC after they sent it out to you. (F)

Congrats !!

:dancing::dancing::dancing: Thank God, just got approved! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

"On May 8, 2014, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need

something from you we will contact you."

Good luck to everyone who are still waiting. Patience is a virtue! :)

After the email that your card is in production, they'll send you another one saying that USPS got your card, and they send you a tracking number. If the link in the email doesn't work, try on the "check my case status" site from USCIS. This one works for sure. Then you can track the delivery of your GC.

Congrats to all approvals!

Wow, just wow...

I called the USCIS service center, my fear seeing CSC applicants with an NOA1 dates after mine being approved is that I have an RFE coming or something got messed up so I wanted to check. First guy told me they don't have updates on I-751 applications in their system and refused the other case # that comes with the biometrics letter, refused to transfer me to tier 2 rep saying they were gone, and when I asked what time of the day they leave, said "it depends".... I called back after hanging up and talked to someone who did take my biometrics case #, told me it was pending, and apologized that tier 2 reps team close at 5:30pm. Quite a different experience!

By the way if you ever need to contact the USCIS and talk to a human being, just don't press ANYTHING on the phone when prompted to. I wasted 15 min trying to navigate the menus until I found a topic on VJ where people advised to do that. Don't even press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish, just wait, and after a couple minutes you'll be greeted in Spanish. Just say you don't speak Spanish and they'll switch to English.

Congrats to all jan approvals.

I really wonder whats the criteria that few people filed same time get approved early and few keep on waiting.

Even if its rfe or other reason all should be informed about updates the same time as according to the filing time.

Background check results come within 10 days if its bio.

May be its the officer going through the case or the expiration date of green card.Well who knows but not fair.

At first, I thought people with the same bio dates would be put into the same batch, but I was wrong.

My experience from the AOS is that they already had some kind of decision before I came in. I was approved in a heartbeat without having to show anything. My presence there was only to confirm their decision.

Same thing could apply to ROC, they must have pulled some kind of check beyond background check before you submit your evidences. If your evidences are decent enough, you will get approved immediately by some first tier screeners. Otherwise you will be sent to other USCIS specialists (tier 2). They will then investigate your application in details and approve it/RFE/interview.

So if I am correct, there will be at least 2 tiers of IOs. If you are lucky to get approved by first tier IO, you will hear back very quickly. If you are unlucky and got sent, you will have to wait more, knowing that any movement inside USCIS will take forever.

I think it might be just random. As in, they give a batch to one adjudicator and another batch to another adjudicator, and one of the two is faster than the other, or one is also working on other types of applications, or who knows... I don't see how they could make background checks before you submit the evidence for ROC, since you submit them together with the application.

I just spent some time going through the November and December threads tonight, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why people are not approved in the order of NOA1 or biometrics. In November especially some people who filed at the end of the month were approved before others who filed in the first week.

That being said, I would really like to see my approval coming soon! :clock:

At first, I thought people with the same bio dates would be put into the same batch, but I was wrong.
