Im also getting ready to file just waiting for a few docs to get here so i can file i know it will be a long road but just keep your hopes up and try to relax cuz our government is painfully slow at doing things for us but when it comes to taking our money their super fast then to do nothing for a while it sucks waiting but everybody good luck on your journey

Vermont service center very slow. Please speed up little work. I hope we will get through this fast.

Hello everyone!

Congrats to those who have gotten approved - and hopefully the ones that haven't yet, will soon!.

My case was sent directly to Nebraska. I got my NOA1 for my i130 on January 21, 2014, and then got my i129 matched up with that on February 20, 2014. Haven't heard anything from them as of yet :clock: . My husband and I have been together since our wedding, but now I have to go back to the states because of school... and not knowing how long this is going to take is driving us crazy!

Best wishes for everyone!

My spouse I-130 petition is at VSC (NOA1 January 20th, 2014) and I-129F for K3 at TCS (transferred there from VSC (NOA1 January 29th, 2014)... No further action yet on both!

I don't understand how people are sending in both an I-130 AND an I-129f. Is this allowed? How exactly does that work? Whichever gets approved faster is the one you use?

I submitted an I-130 for my husband in Jordan in January 2014 to Nebraska. Still waiting.

Congrats to those who have gotten approved!

Once you file your I-130 petition for a spouse you have an option to also file an I-129f visa (its called K3 visa category). once approved, it allows the beneficiary to enter the united states on the K3 visa and wait for their pending I-130 petition. historically approval for I-129f is supposed to be faster than I-130 but it seems lately that there is no difference in processing time between the two. based on what I read here on VJ if both get approved at the same time or I-130 get approved before, USCIS/NVC close the I-129f and proceed with the I-130. see VJ and USCIS for more details about K3 visa...

K3 is different than K1... but the same form # is used (I-129F).. there is a place in the form where the petitioner needs to indicate that the filed I-129f is linked to bending I-130 and the purpose of this is K3 visa for a spouse.

Congrats @cbrammer1219

That is really great news and all of us here are happy for you.

@Prixxi82 - Kudos and thank you for making this spreadsheet. It will be a great tracker for all of us.

There's still no news on my end. PD of Jan 17th. However, For those who are in the F2-A category, there is bad news. The June 2014 VB came out and I was very shocked today...very shocked to see that visa bulletin for worldwide category has retrogressed to May 01, 2012. Not even 2013, but 2012!!!

I'm really appalled by this and it really hurts. Even though the priority date had not moved from the September 2013 date, at least having it there gave some sort of comfort that we were still a little closer. I guess this was inevitable, but now I don't even know what to do and how to break this news to her. At this rate, if there is no steady forward movement from the May 2012 PD by the end of the year, I might just leave the US temporarily for a year or so in order to be with her.

It's probably going to be a big shift and change but at least we will be together. It will also postpone my minimum required days toward citizenship but there seems to be no other option :-(. At this point, hope is a word that means nothing and this is very disheartening to hear.

Anyway good luck to all, and if any of you share similar pains to mine, feel free to share your story.

I read it but it doesn't really give instructions on how to submit a K-3

Can you possibly send me another link?

Just got notification that they have sent I130 to NVC today..

I love a good news story. Your NOA1 date is a few days ahead of mine, so you've given us hope of winning the who-gets-picked-next lottery too.
