it's heartbreaking to read so many of our stories.

i still wonder if folks who applied after us (feb, march, april ... 2014) are also getting the security checks thing

Hey,

This is my first post but I have been reading these threads for months and am at a all time low. I am a Feb. filer (2.24.2014) and I am in the exact same situation as you guys. I submitted an E-Request and received a very similar message about having to wait on our background checks. At this point, I have lost so much faith and it's become hard at times to even image us starting our lives in the USA. I just wanted to say that by seeing you (california_luv) approved I have a little more hope that some day will be our day!!!! Keep posting updates everyone and positive messages. :star: Thanks

I'm praying for you all! Even after you get the approvel and move to NVC stage its still depressing because of the wait. We were approved on 9-2-12 after 7 months at USCIS. The case still has not reached NVC. They say allow up 5 weeks for them to receive your case...

Hope to see you all at the next stage very soon.

I haven't contacted my senator but I've been reading a lot of the replies most of the people stuck on security checks are getting from their congressmen and its basically the same thing. Saying the checks aren't clear and we just have to wait. I'm just lost and don't know what more to do besides wait. Did you write to your senator?
