Hi everyone, I found this site back in June for the first time. I have been literally waking up every morning and going to bed and checking this page all throughout the day to see if we have gotten any January approvals and what dates are getting NOA2. I have an NOA1 date of January 30th. Its gonna be 6 months in 2 days, and I am just so nervous. I have been calling USCIS and last week they had said they were working on January 13th filers (or after that date I'm not sure what they meant) but when I see how approvals are coming in there is no way to know what they are working on. They don't seem to go in any kind of order even if its by date, I have read a lot of the comments and there are people still waiting from early January. I am trying not to get discouraged but this is just so upsetting. I wish we could all have a speedy process and get our loved ones here! I was hoping my husband would be able to come to the US by sometime in December (before our first anniversary which is in January) but at this rate it's looking very unlikely as after approval we still have a long wait ahead at NVC/consulate for interview.

Let me share some information I heard.
10 DAYS ONE GROUP
One operator told my husband (petitioner) NOA1 on 13 - 22 is a group, 23 - 2 is the next group, and so on.
But when we called again to confirm this information to another operator, she said she knew nothing about it.
STILL ON JAN 13TH?
Last time my husband called them was on Jan 17th. They said they were working on 13th.
So it has been on it for 2 weeks.
Are they still working on 13th? It's important, we should share it here if anybody knows.
ADRESS CHANGING AFTER INQUIRY
On 24th, after my husband called them for expediting, the case status turned to "on july 24th, the related mail address was changed"
We didn't change anything about it.
Some people says it means somebody is touching your case. It only can be a good thing.
Also, some petitions got approved soon after that.
But on my case maybe it's impossible. Because It has already been 5 days since then.
Now I'm checking case status everyday. It's sooooo upsetting.
My husband is going to call them this Friday.
I will share information useful here.
Hope you can share some information such as the case date they are working on, the reason they are late.

Hope you not be that stressful like me.

Best Regards

Hi, I just called again yesterday & they said they are still working on Jan. 13th, but from my understanding they only update the current date once a month. So we won't get a new date until mid august. The agent on the phone told me I have to wait until my NOA1 date is 6 months past their current date. So since my NOA1 is Jan. 30th I can't put in a service request tomorrow (July 30th) because they are currently said to be working on Jan. 13th which means "my turn is coming and just to wait it out" words coming from the lady on the phone. Seems like a lot of us are just in this constant stage of waiting, and there's not much else we can do. I haven't received any kind of change on the status page as far as a change of address or RFE request, which I guess is a good thing? I have checked a couple dozen cases after and before my case number and there does seem to be A LOT of cases who received an RFE notice on July 25th or July 28th. So all I can do is find some comfort in the fact that they are working on my case since they seem to be working around my case number. Hoping for an approval any day. I really don't want to have to wait until they update their date in August and then have to fill out a service request. She told me my file was still in normal waiting range. :(

I did the same thing. A lot of cases around mine are approved.

I asked them why it happened. They couldn't explain it.

My husband said maybe some women are merrier to the army.

Because he is always asked if he is in the army.

I really don't want to have to wait until they update their date in August and then have to fill out a service request. She told me my file was still in normal waiting range. :(

You can call them for expediting instead of filling the online sheet.

We got approved on July 8th, but we don´t know if our case has already been received by NVC. We are currently living in Spain. Did you call them, CanadianMom? Is it a toll free phone number? Do they reply if we ask about this through an email addressed to nvcinquiry account?

I called them, it's unfortunately not a toll-free number but hubby has North American calling on his cell phone plan so it doesn't cost anything if I use his phone. I'm not sure about the email. The number is 603-334-0700.

Thank you so much. I will check my email account to ensure they have our case. Tomorrow it turns three weeks since USCIS shipped our file to NVC. And yeah, I follow very carefully the nvc july filers thread. It is very hepful

Hi everyone, just FYI:

Our case was sent to the NVC on June 30th and received by them on July 11th. We called several times to see if we had a NVC case number already but we got nothing as they kept saying that we had wait 30 business days to get our case entered into their system. However, on July 28th we received an e-mail from NVC with our case number and our AOS fee bill. Just to give you an idea of their timing.

that's awesome!

a very good heads up!!!!

good to know nvc is picking up the pace. someone did say, somewhere, nvc did some shuffling around and hiring so maybe its true and there will be better turn around on things. have read some people have waited 30 days just to get a case number then longer for aos bills to appear. you're lucky

perfect timing! its 6 months today for my pd!!! i;m ready to move onto the nvc. :) time to make room for others...

Just checking back in with an update ... We got NOA2 on June 2nd (Jan 29th PD). We weren't able to fill out our DS-261 until 7/21 and with current processing times it won't be reviewed until 8/29 giving us a HOPEFUL case complete sometime in late October. So, if NVC finally starts to catch up a bit and decreases their review times then it is very possible that those of you that are still waiting will actually get through NVC in the same amount of time as those that have already been there for a few months.

Trying to bring a glimmer of hope to those of you still waiting. And yes, I do think NVC will start to catch up as the summer goes on. Positive thinking!!! :)

Well, even if we get case complete by mid Oct the chances of interview in Dec are slim. I think we pretty much decided last night after speaking with NVC that she'll just stay with her Mum and Dad for the holidays. That puts us at early 2014 ... Good way to start the year!!!

Hopefully all of you still waiting will hit the NVC with vastly improved wait times.

How many of you guys have put in a service request?

The 30 marked my 6 month pd mark and tomorrow marks 6 months for NOA1.

Half of me says put it in, the other half says 'why? you know what the reply will be?'

So do I bother?

I called on the 28th because I couldn't complete the e-request becasue it told me I was still within normal processing. The CS Rep tried and was unable to create the request due to the same reason. She used a different method and submit the request. With that she said it could take up to 30 days to receive an answer... My PD is Jan 27
