Honestly I don't think political views are necessary here, we should be here to support one another, not criticize the

president of the USA, thanks :)

I agree dehiguey. This is such a positive website. Let's not pollute it with negative political views. I'm so grateful for this site. I wish everyone the very best luck on their journey. What I've found is worth the wait :)

Marriage: 12/10/2013
Sent I-130: 1/23/14
NOA1: 1/30/14
NOA2: 6/10/14
Email that it was shipped to nvc: 6/23/14
Received by NVC: 7/1/14
Case#/IID# assigned: 7/16/14
Received/Submitted DS-261: 7/29/14
Paid AOS fee: 7/30/14
Sent AOS packet: 8/1/14
Aos fee showing PAID: 8/2/14
Received and paid IV Fee: 9/8/14 (fee showing paid / DS-260 available 9/9/14)
Submitted DS-260: 9/11/14
Sent IV packet: 9/24/14
NVC Received 9/26/14

Arrived in US: 3/8/14

STILL HAPPY AND NORMAL AS OF 8/4/2016!!

AOS Approved per phone: 10/22/14
*Received what I thought was a false checklist on this date as well*

*Problems: Called on 10/27/14 11/5/14 and 11/20/14 just to be proactive On all of these dates except the last, NVC kept telling me that my IV document probably hadn't been reviewed yet. On 11/20 the representative told me that the BC needed to be inextensa and the marriage license. True enough I had sent an extracto. But requested a supervisor review bc I knew the marriage lic was inextensa. 2 days later called again and got the same supervisor who told me that the marriage lic needed the proper signed legalizada (sticker on the back)

Sent necessary documents/Received: 11/20/14 and 11/26/14

Called 12/15/14: got Arthur....after he checked and verbally spanked he sent me to supervisor Silvia who said she would pull my file and try to figure it out.

Case complete: 12/19/14 Sylvia called and left a voicemail, called and confirmed later that night and status changed to N/A.

Thank you so much Sylvia. May God bless you and your family.

Appointment date and time received: 12/27/14

***FAST FORWARD***

Please remember that this process if frustrating for everyone. It is alright to vent, but you need to be aware that venting may trigger responses that you don't necessarily want to hear. Freedom of speech goes both ways -and as Visa Journey is a private site, is subject to restriction by the Terms of Service. Instead of getting upset and responding, please give the benefit of the doubt to those who vent and respond, and try not to introduce any additional - and unnecessary - stress or discord into an already stressful situation.

Moderator hat off . . .

It may be useful for all concerned to remember that delays of immigration related benefits started long before the current administration was elected - and until immigration policies are drastically reformed - will continue long after the current administration ends. The problem is not with the President - it is with legislation that is in drastic need of reform and creates a process that has long been in need of repair. It was like this when I started my immigration journey 11 years ago and it is still like this. If you want to see things change, then encourage your elected officials to support a comprehensive overhaul of the whole immigration process and stop the partisan power politics that is more interested in throwing up roadblocks than working together for the good of our country.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Exact point I wanted to make, playing the "blame game" will not accelerate or make us feel any better. Good luck, God bless.

Happy Independence Day everyone!

Back at ya! Next year's independence we will be with our loved ones!! Yay!!!

this Sunday it turns exactly 6 months since we filed I-130. My PD is Jan 6th

According to USCIS recommendations, https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt By the beginning of the next week I will send a e-request, a case inquiry (case outside normal processing time) to the USCIS. I will let all of you know what response they give to me....

No we didn't submit e-request. No I just got email for status change. [/quote

Hi pujaks- did u get what rfe tsc wants? I got rfe too, today july 1 - noa1 was 2/10 -why is tsc giving rfe to everyone :(

Hi rleela,

I think TSC is very strict in all this matter. But we should be happy that at least our case is started for processing. No i didn't get Hardcopy for RFE. I am also waiting. As it is independence week, i think the hardcopy will take little more time to deliver. They send USPS standard mail, So it's delivery time is around 8-10 days. So we should wait. Let me know what they ask for evidence if you get hardcopy.

Thank you, :thumbs::star:

Today ours says "On July 4, 2104 your address was changed relating to the I-130...." We never changed our address, so hopefully this is means we'll be approved soon. I've seen other people get the same message and then get approved a couple days later.

This morning it still just said "On January 7, 2014 we received your petition..." So they definitely did something today, who knew they were working on Independence Day?!?

Hi everyone. January filer here too...our PD is 21st Jan, with Nebraska, unfortunately! Wow these last 5 months have been hard, does anyone have an idea where Nebraska are upto?? We haven't heard anything yet. Also, I've been told the chances of getting into the USA after applying for I130 are pretty low...anyone experienced this, I'd love to be able to visit my other half for a vacation!

After my husband and I received the NOA1 he came over for am 84 day visit. They asked him a few questions at the airport but he had his NOA1 paper so they just let him through.

Today ours says "On July 4, 2104 your address was changed relating to the I-130...." We never changed our address, so hopefully this is means we'll be approved soon. I've seen other people get the same message and then get approved a couple days later.

I highly doubt they were working today. Maybe the message was delayed?

I hope you are approved soon and I will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

We are all in for a long wait I'm afraid.

Hi Everyone,

We got our approval e-mail notification on Monday, June 30th and our NOA2 hardcopy on Friday. When can we contact NVC to verify if they received our file?

Hoping everyone gets their approval soon!

I would contact them in about a week or so to see when it was received.
