I already submitted I-130 for my wife and received the PD which is January 29th from VSC. I always check the status of my case online and still in initial review stage. The VSC processing time on USCIS website mentioned that it will take 5 months or less. If your PD is around January 29th, Did you receive decision letter from VSC yet?

Do you prefer to call them soon or should I wait a little more?

We're January 29th, TSC. Nothing yet. Not much use in calling yet, wait until the stated processing time has passed in July. Calling now will only bring frustration because you will not get any help.

I am the USC Petitioner. My wonderful wife Laura is from Scotland.

Got NOA2 yesterday. Apparently Congressional Expedites do exist. Thanks to Rep. frank Wolf's staff!

Congrats!! What state are you in? Did you have a reason to get your congressman involved or were you just impatient?

Virginia. I got them involved because my husband and I have been in exile for 10 years because of the Defense of Marriage Act. When we decided to go back to the US, I was disheartened to see that there would be yet more waiting, so I contacted them and asked for a Congressional expedite, which must exist. I told Wolf's office that he could argue humanitarian grounds based on the suffering exile has caused me and my family due to an unconstitutional law, but I don't think he had to. They just did it. Less than four months isn't bad.

I will, however, continue to advocate for all couples when I get back in July. Families are too important.

Love it!! Rare to see the govt do something that at least tries to make up for a mistake.

At the very least, I hope that your exile was in France ... not the worst place to be banished to!! Also, props to your for choosing to leave until your rights were recognized. Regardless of where you were I'm sure it was painful to not be home.

Hey, anyone one here savy enough to create a spreadsheet showing January filers?

I'm not, but would love to see the progress some of us have made.

Anyone care to give it a shot?

Thinking it would be rewarding to see VJ friends here getting approval.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this site. Nebraska SC received our file (F2A) on Jan 21 and we received our NOA1 by Jan 28.

It's soo frustrating to be able to live within driving distance (Canada) to my wife and not be able to see her. Our immigration attorney strongly recommended me not to try and visit her while our file is being processed. He said that in the event I am denied entry, it will complicate and delay our I-130.

We were never told about the I-129 and I found out just by going through this site! I guess it's too late to apply. On the bright side ....it's been 5 months since we applied! Hoping to hear some good news soon!

Question for you all... Once the NOA2 is approved how long of a wait is there for the medical appointment and also the interview. I did some looking around on the timelines and I see some people had a 6 month wait in-between the NOA2 and Interview. That's insane :(

I believe it depends on the country the beneficiary is from. Each is different. I'd suggest you look at igor's list and look at data there. It will give you a better idea.

My motto...."good things come to those who wait,"

Every country has issues and situations. Click on the Case Complete to Interview spread sheet in my signature you will see people for Egypt and Morocco waiting since September and for interviews . Yes after Case Complete. It's sad but well when a country is in turmoil safety first.

Your embassy not much a wait. Since your medicals get sent to the embassy its advised to wait until you have interview letter and schedule so your results don;t get there before your case-file does. most UK folks wait usually no more than a month after case complete. It's all about timing and the scheduling timeline.

Anyone else starting to feel like it's getting harder? My husband and I are really starting to feel the strain of being apart for so long and I know I shouldn't complain because we're all in the same boat but this really sucks.

Priority date Jan 21

Has anyone else in January been approved? I love reading about good news.

I haven't seen too many Jan approvals. I've been following the December board and they're just starting to see some approvals starting to happen :(. I'm thinking late June-July for most of us. It will be 5 months for me in 2.5 weeks, but you still have to wait 30 days to put in a service request beyond the posted timeframes. I have a feeling many if us will get approved in the window between passing the 5 month mark they advertise and the 30 days you have to wait for a service request. We'll see though.

I definitely feel like it goes in cycles. It's been 4 months today since I saw my wife in Scotland. I think we are settling into our routine of texting and calling and such. When the time change first hit it really sucked because our chat time got cut down on the weekdays. :(

Priority date Jan 29th.

The only approvals I've seen for January were expedited for living abroad. Just a few more months!! Weeeee!!

Roonie why can't you and your wife see each other? My husband is Belgian and he is here in the States with me for 3 months. They didn't give him a hard time when he entered the country in Philadelphia because he had proof that we filed the I-130. In my opinion it just provides extra proof that the marriage is bona fide. We now have plane tickets and pictures that he can take to his appointment as proof. Why would you possibly be denied entry? Have you visited each other too often?
