Ankara - Request Arabic Translator

Hi all,

My fiancee will have her interview in Ankara in about 3 weeks. We've already mailed her documents and they were received but we have a few questions:

  1. Should we email the embassy and make sure that the papers we sent are complete and not missing anything? Or will they email us on their own if there's something missing?
  2. We hard originally submitted our letters of intent to marry with I-129F packet, that was 4 months ago (by the interview time it'll have been 5 months), should my fiancee bring with her new letter of intents to the interview?
  3. My fiancee does not speak Turkish but speaks some English, and I was wondering if we can ask for Arabic translator? I'm not sure if they would be able to do this for us but it'll be great help, I'm worried that a misunderstanding might jeopardize the interview. Should we try to request that ahead of time via email?

Thanks in advanced for your help!

They will tell you the day of the interview if you are missing anything. You should request an interpreter in advance if the language is not the native language of the country. It would be good for her to interview in English to show that you have a common language as a couple to communicate in(unless you speak Arabic fluently). Good luck.

Hello,

I am in the same situation but for my sister and my her husband, They speak some arabic but their native is kurdish and they hardly speak any English, I have called the consular section in Ankara probably a million times and they never answer, and the website is not saying anything about requesting a translator, so does anyone knows how to request a translator, arabic or kurdish should be good that would help me a lot?

Than you
