DS260, DS261, Immigrant fee

Hi happy new year to all! I am a permanent resident petitioning for my husband in the Philippines.

The NVC recently sent me an email that I had to fill out the ds261 and pay the IV fee. Now i'm still waiting for the invoice but had already filled out the ds261 form... Now where do I fill out ds260 and is he required to do so? Also what are the next steps after these?

*Also where specifically do we pay the immigrant fee of $165?

After filling Ds261...you need to pay AOS fee of $88 from CEAC payment,portal n then wait for 3 days for PAID status n after that print,the confirmation page which need to be sent with AOS Packet. In next few days, you will receive fee bill of $230.

The $165 you pay it through the USCIS webpage using ELLIS. But I think you pay it after you have gone to the interview and before arriving to the US

It takes around 5 days after paying iv fee for DS-260 to be available , you also can fill it for him

Thanks for your responses. I think we actually made a mistake along the process. We had already paid the AOS fee and turned in the packet without filling out the ds-261..

You have to submit DS-261 to choose your agent so he/she can pay IV fee for you , without submit it you will never able to pay visa fee ! Once submit DS-261 it takes around 5-7days afterward it take another 2 days for invoice to be generated and send to the agent via either mail/email ! After paying it take 1-5 days to show up as paid then you'll able to do the DS-260 form in ceac.state.gov/iv

After NVC receive all the requires ( AoS package , Iv package ) they will start to review your case which will take another 4-8 weeks and get interview

Hi everyone! I just would like to asked. if after I fill up the DS260 what is the next step should be done? do I need to mail in NVC IV packet such as marriage cert, police certfcate etc.? I am really confused.

You also need to mail I-864 AoS package !
