I love everyone in this thread :']

2011: James and I met via a blogging website, became friends due to having the same favorite band.

02/2013: James is, at this point, my best friend (and I joked about him being in love with me...welp, I was right!heart.gif), and I realized I was in love with him as much as he was in love with me. We discussed that we both wished we could be together, but I was committed to my then-girlfriend.

06/2013: Ex-girlfriend and I broke up. I ask James to be my boyfriend two days after the breakup (06/24/2013), and we were officially a couple (finally!).

09/2013: James comes to the US to visit me and stays with me at my apartment from mid/late September to late October. We mutually proposed while he was in the US.

10/2013: We weigh our options (me moving to London, him moving to Des Moines), and decide that him moving to the US would be the best way to go.

11/2013-12/2013: I begin to seriously research the process. James and I agree we will officially get married in DSM in front of a judge, and save up for an unofficial ceremony and reception in Pittsburgh (where my parents live) a few years down the road. Which leads us to....

K1 Process timeline:

1/4/14: began gathering all documents and forms, all letters and statements typed and ready to print. Just waiting on the form/letter/photo/etc. from James (the fiancé) and the money for the fee!
