I need on opinion from those of you who added a Relationship Progression narrative or Diagram with your evidence for application for either your fiance or spousal visa. I was advised by a very wonderful senior member here to create one and send it with my CR1 and I feel so much better doing that because it gives me a chance to relay to the Interviewer how we started from point A and got to Z.

All opinions are welcome! and i wish you all a Happy New Year of Wealth, Health and Peace!

Love is a gift and not to be earned, therefore one should never hold any regrets for giving love regardless of the outcome...

My husband and I just wrote the story of our relationship in essay form from his point of view (he's the petitioner), kinda like just telling our story in a letter. We mentioned where we met (online), challenges we faced in the 2+ years we were together, the first time we met in person, up to our wedding and me getting knocked up.

Ours went like:

Senna and I first met on an online message board called (name of message board) on December of 2011. We would see each other posting and we would sometimes exchange banter publicly but we didn't start private messaging each other until (so and so date). That's when we really got to know each other.

Blah blah blah

After two tries, Senna was finally able to get a tourist visa to the US and she was only scheduled to be in the country a short time which she planned on spending with her relatives so we were unsure as to whether we would be able to spend time together... etc.etc.

Just be really natural in your story-telling and be honest about your story. I think that the more genuine it reads, the better.

I did a narrative that briefly described the progression of our relationship similar to SennaBrigante's.

I also did a timeline of our visits and major events (like the proposal). I formatted it like the outline to an essay with short phrases and bulleted lists. I listed the event and then to the side listed corresponding evidence. Something like...

"15 June 2013 - Vacation together in Iceland

- Photos

- Copies of boarding passes

- Copies of passport pages"

I then included copies in order of the timeline. It was SO helpful to ME because it helped me organize all of our evidence. This may be too much for some (front loading? I'm not sure), but we were approved!

Good luck to you!

You might also want to outline the evidences you're providing on the cover letter and just arrange them by the order they were produced.

Thank you all for your suggestions. After I wrote mine it just seemed a bit unnatural and I feel the CO might think it's TMI but I felt better narrating our relationship progression because it answers all the questions they might have. Oh well.
