cost for AOS

I am about the send in the forms for my AOS.. can someone tell me the total cost plz.. i have seen $1070, $1075 and $1080.. which is correct?

It has always been 1070.00. Where are you getting other dollar amounts? It says it on the application instructions.

Always go to the USCIS website to check on the current filing fees and to get the latest forms. The information for the I-485 is here.

Please read the I-485 instructions. They say "The filing fee for Form I-485 is $985. An additional biometrics services fee of $85 is required for applicants ages 14 to 78." That comes out to $1,070.

The instructions are really pretty clear on the fee.

If you ever send in the wrong amount to the USCIS, they will reject your application and you will have to send in the correct amount. Not a big deal, but it is a waste of time and money for postage and it is so easy to check the official website of the USCIS for the correct information like where to mail the application to, the amount of the filing fee, and use the latest accepted form.

Never follow hearsay. Follow the instructions given. Perfectly clear on the USCIS website what the fee is>

Filing Fee

$985. (Add $85 biometric fee for a total of $1070, where applicable. See the form instructions for payment details.) You must make your check payable to Department of Homeland Security.

If you send the wrong amount, it will be rejected.

It's $1070. That includes your biometrics, and your EAD (work authorization) and AP (advanced parole) forms. I did not know that until like 4 months after waiting for my GC! So file all 3!!!
