does anybody know if i have to apply for social security number separately or it comes with adjustment of status?

You have to apply separately and it is not related to your AOS. You can file for Advanced Parole/Employment Authorisation Document at the same time as your AOS for no extra filing fee.

Hi! You need to get a social security number first before you apply for AOS.

You don't need to apply for it before AOS; they are not related. You can apply anytime after your fiancé enters the US on the k-1 (it doesn't have to be before or after the marriage.) BUT you must do it before the last 2 weeks on his 1-94. You have 76 days from entry into the country. If you don't get a chance to do it then, you'll have to wait until after approval of his work authorization form (I-765) and do it then.
